Hello, greetings from a new subscriber, a veteran Spanish member of the wolf pack, absolutely in love with these ladies. They are fantastic, very talented, and I cannot understand why they are not known outside of Asia. On the current European tour they are performing in incredibly small venues, it seems that very few people know about them. Of course, the Zik Zak is a beautiful venue with good lighting and a large stage, not like in London, where in the middle of the performance you can see the buses pass by the windows....no comments. I listen to many much more popular groups and, honestly, I see them as having less talent and less originality than these girls, who are a breath of fresh air for this aging world of heavy metal. Thank you for your reaction, pleasant and friendly.

Unfortunately, 95% - 99% of Western fans of heavy music do not know about LOVEBITES. At least they don't know yet. The reasons are simple. Western metal fans have certain stereotypes that they still can't get rid of. Western fans have been accustomed for decades to think that heavy music is, first of all, Europe and America. Heavy music is, first of all, men. What, an all-female metal band? From Japan? Dressed in white robes? No tattoos, etc.? Real metal can only be played by stern, gloomy men with long hair (or shaved heads), with many tattoos all over their bodies, wearing black clothes, black leather, chains, rivets! Etc. etc. LOVEBITES understand this well. LOVEBITES has left a comment in anticipation for the first world Tour (January 01,2024): "2023 was the ‘Year of Resurrection’ for LOVEBITES, and we will follow it with our first world tour. The title of the Tour is ‘THE THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE’, which has the same meaning as the Japanese proverb ‘Ai to nikushimi wa kami hitoe’. We understand that in the world of heavy metal, where most bands consist of men dressed in black, LOVEBITES, an all-female band dressed in white, is even more of an outlier in the scene, and that some people may not respect us. That is why we want those who have shunned us in the past to see us on stage and enjoy our performance during this world tour. The proverb from which the tour title is taken from originally meant that love can easily turn to hate, but we purposefully took this as a paradox and selected it for the title."

@@55hideo Hello, Japanese friend. Well look, I tell you that I have known oriental rock for a long time, Babymetal for 8 years, Lovebites, Band Maid, Nemophila... for at least 5 years. I am almost a pioneer in Spain haha, I have introduced many friends to Japanese rock, and they are amazed by the quality they have and the girls who play it. And I still don't understand why they are not more admired and known.
@CarlosJavierNogueiraMartinez

@@GrayFox14 Of course friend, in addition to being pretty and talented, these women are intelligent and subtle. You are absolutely right, the animosity towards the wonderful Japanese female rock comes from sexist, misogynistic, even supremacist positions (they are oriental, they don't pronounce English well...) I am 60 years old and I am tired of the same groups of old members, with their same old songs and without evolving (and note that I have been listening to them since I was 13 years old and I have the complete collections of Iron Maiden, Judas, Sabbath, ACDC... ..). But I see a live image of Iron Maiden, in short jeans and tank tops, all hairy and sweaty, and they're even disgusting to look at, and I see these girls and...what do you want me to tell you, they're a breath of fresh air, of quality, beauty, originality and talent.

@@CarlosJavierNogueiraMartinez I understand you and I agree with you. More than three years ago I also said that “LOVEBITES is a breath of fresh air!” I accidentally saw LOVEBITES on KZitem and they (their songs) made a strong impression on me. The vast majority of metal bands (especially Western ones) are associated with darkness, black colors. LOVEBITES wear white clothes with Gold! We can say that LOVEBITES are White metal. Gold on a white background emphasizes that these ladies play elite music. Unfortunately in this Tour there is no gold on the white clothes. But ladies better know what to wear.🤗 I hope that Europe and America will finally wake up and there will be an explosion of interest in LOVEBITES and other Japanese bands!

How could you not love Fami san? :) She like revived the band imo, bringing new energy. That show in Belgium was amazing. I had hands on Miyako san stage monitor, being corner of her on that night and I was overwhelmed by watching her amazing guitar playing from 2 feet away and the direct sound of her amp + watching Haruna san drumming and getting direct sound from her. I barely could hear Asami san singing though, so it is good for me to get the global sound of that concert in this video :) . Many people made bad comments about the sound in that venue, but I hear a good live sound here. The venue was packed with around 300 people and they started to run out of merch though it was only 2nd night on that tour! Their touring van is so small they can not take much with them. Will see and meet the ladies again on Tuesday in Paris, so excited! :)
Thank you Belgian wolfbros for loving Lovebites. The girls were raving about Ittre on social media. The concert, the warm reception by you, the food... Everything was perfect. Merci🤘🐺🤘 Not hating on UK (the fans were great, the venue was... let's say even the Beatles had to play at the Cavern Club once -- the original basement one). Wrong timing ( European Football cahmpionship is currently held in Germany and football is the Nr.1 sport here) and also wrong location, Lindau is literally on the far end of Germany, right at the border with Switzerland, it's closer to the big Swiss cities like Basel or Zuerich, then any German ones. I said it once & say it again: Lovebites needs a new management. They should have booked them for some big Euro festivals later in the summer, like Wacken Open Air, Download UK, Bloodstock UK, Graspop etc. where the girls would have a bigger audience and have one of the performances get recorded for streaming. Wacken & Bloodstock for example have their own youtube channels, where they do live-streams & have live performances available. Instead they send the girls to play on these mini club gigs for 400-600 people.

Lovebites played at Wacken back in 2018 and they had really good momentum until the end of 2020 when they suffered a double whammy of COVID and then Miho left and the band went into a long hiatus. On top of that, 2 of the band members got pregnant. They haven't played overseas for more than 4 years now and it's only right that they ease themselves back into the market outside of Japan which they have to re-familiarize again. I would have loved to see them play at Wembley in London but is that realistic ? BTW, Wacken is a metal festival, not a gig booked exclusively for Lovebites like in London and Belgium so far. @@guitarzen5999 so are friend here was pushing Nemo at first, but on 4/1, 20% of the band left, and on top of that, with the release of Enigma, odyssey, and Night flight, Nemo went out the window with Saki, with, what look like, a move to much more pop music, so now he likes to compare LoveB to Slaughter to prevail, so that is, his band now. to be honest i don't know anything about slaughter...

I was headbanging and jumping up and down like a lunatic at the London gig on Friday (and will be doing the same again in 2 weeks time when they come back). But given that many of the fans in the audience could be described as "aging rockers", a mosh pit was never going to form. I'm going to Otoboke Beaver 2 days after the next London gig, which will be a younger and much more energetic crowd, so I'll get my mosh-pit fix there. 🤘

"no moshpit no headbang what a shame"? *Thank you* for granting others their own way to express their emotions. *Thank you* so much. That is so kind of you.

Lovebites isn't a pure thrash, grindcore or hc punk band. I don't see how a moshpit would fit their music.

Mosh pits are over rated. Takes the attention away from the band.

@@ChadTheDragonLord I enjoy them. I reckon they are a fun interactive way of participating in the music/event rather than watching passively. Though I tend to split my time 50/50 between watching the band and moshing with other fans. But each to their own. Taking videos, on the other hand, I find distracts from enjoying the moment (though I'm glad other people take them and post them here for all to enjoy)
