1) You won’t spend a penny on such a pot! For this, take branches from pruned trees.
For work you will need branches of approximately the same thickness.
- First, I cut two sticks with pruning shears and tied them with two ropes of the same length. The rope must be strong and not stretch.
- Then she turned over the branches and the ropes crossed themselves.
- I placed the next two branches on top, perpendicular to the first.
The size of the flowerpot depends on the length of these 4 branches. The longer they are, the larger the pots. If the branches are the same length, you will get a square flowerpot, and if they are different, then you will get a rectangular one.
- In this way, 2 branches are laid on top of each other under the ropes. They shrink to form a cone. The branches must be moved towards the edge all the time.
- When the branches are laid and the rope has pulled the structure together, we make the bottom from several sticks.
Thanks to this weave, a strong frame is obtained.
- Lastly, I cut off all the long branches at the corners.
Ready.
You can cover the flowerpot with film, fill it with soil and plant flowers, or place a ready-made pot with a flower inside.
Do not throw away or burn such valuable material, but use it usefully.
2) At least break the plates on purpose for the sake of this beauty. I’ll show you what a gorgeous thing you can make from broken dishes (at least sell it).
It’s very annoying when your favorite thing breaks, but don’t be upset, it will delight you in a different guise.
The simplest thing you can do is a mosaic made from fragments. You can combine it with broken tiles, mirror, glass.
- Before starting work, you need to think through the drawing; if it is chaotic, then you can start working right away.
- But first you need to prepare the surface of the product. I will make flower pots; I used a plastic bucket as a base, removed the handle from it, cut off the excess plastic, and degreased it with white spirit.
- Also broke the fragments into smaller ones. To do this, she took a bag, placed the dishes in it, covered it with another part of the bag and split it with a hammer. When doing this type of work, it is important to follow safety precautions. Be sure to wear safety glasses.
I will glue the fragments with glue, it should be thick, for example liquid nails or something similar.
I started from the bottom, but still followed some of the pattern. The blue color will predominate below and above.
- Step by step I glued the pieces, first a small section, when the glue dried another.
- This kind of work is reassuring, everything works out the first time, without any mistakes.
- Last time, when I made such a flowerpot from ceramic tiles, I used a special solution, applied it to a small piece and attached the fragments. But then the flowerpot was hard clay.
- Lastly, I glued small pieces onto the rim.
- I applied the grout with a rubber spatula. I filled all the voids and left it to dry until the next day.
- Then I wiped off the dried mixture with a damp cloth. Where there was a lot of it scraped off with a knife.
- You can use this mosaic to lay out a hot stand.
The finished flowerpot looks impressive and summer-bright.
3) No one guessed what this charming thing was made of. And it was an ordinary juice box.
You can make a pot for succulents and small indoor plants. It will turn out unusual and original; such pots will definitely decorate your balcony or windowsill.
Here's what I did:
- I cut off the excess length with a stationery knife and made drainage holes.
- The surface of the cardboard was rubbed with sandpaper to create a rough surface.
- I made flowers from modeling paste, using silicone molds; I bought all these materials in a craft store.
- Before the paste dried, I glued it to the box with Moment glue and bent it at the corners. I used an awl to make holes for the handle.
- After drying, I painted the box with white acrylic paint.
- I glued fragments of leaves under the flowers and tore them off the paper napkin. I used PVA glue. You can paint them.
- I rubbed a drop of black paint with a dry foam sponge and went over all the protruding edges and along the surface of the flowers.
- I twisted a handle out of wire.
Ready!
A waterproof throwaway box turned into an adorable, almost free flower pot, and no one would guess what it was made of.
