Dave Feldman is one of my favorite researches. He knows way more than a lot of the cardiologists!

I always like the way Feldman speaks. I am a big believer in his lipid view, at least that medicine may have things wrong, and find it great that he calmly accepts he may be wrong or right.

Absolutely fantastic job all the way around! One good thing that came out of the Attia podcast with Dave is that it has sharpened him, this is very evident and very good. Bret does a superb job with interview style, tone and anything else that you can measure about someone who does a good job with interviews/podcasts. Just really really good job to you both!

My wife just received her lipid panel results after 2 years on low-carb. She went from 341 to 835 total cholesterol. Three members of her family have been on statins. All three developed dementia. My understanding is that there is an absolute benefit is 1.1 %. Why take a statin with such little benefit and potentially so many side effects?

Great interview, amazing research! Hopefully in the near future we will be able to make some concrete affirmations on the lipid hypothesis. Well done!

When I added more saturated fat to my keto diet a month before a blood lipid panel it was disastrous. It doubled my triglycerides, increased LDLs by 50% and dropped my HDLs 20 percent. I think being an APOE 2/3 might be an explanation [my Lp(a) is rock-bottom low, almost non-exsistent.]

I wish Dave Feldman would do more discussions about high LDL-P in those with the APOE4 allele. Dr. Steven Gundry's APOE4 patients all say they need to avoid saturated and animal fats except fish and replace them with olive and avocado oils in order to lower inflammation, triglycerides, and oxidized LDL, yet Dave despite himself being an APOE4, is somehow able to keep his inflammation as measured in hsCRP at

Very interesting. I would like to see the benefit of high LDL for APOe4. I have two copies and my LDL runs high. I have been IM fasting for one year. Periodically I fast for 2 to 4 days.

Focus the camera on the person, not on the mic. A shallow depth of field looks cool, but it is not cool when the subject is not in focus.
