If you need help setting up an online presence I will help out at a really cheap price especially compared to web developers who make it seem hard to do. It's not hard and can be done in a day or two. Another thing they keep control of your website if you want anything done they charge you. for it. It's like hiring a builder to build your home or farm and handing them the keys, so you have to ask them when you want to get in. It's crazy and they always make out that if you want changes made it's hard and complicated..? Just pure lies. Ill let you into a secret some not all web site designers take your money and then get people from Indian to build your site. Shocking...!

Mate honestly it takes me about a full day like 12 hours or even 2 days to do a video and I have so much else on also. It doesnt make me enough to do it full time or I would be trust me and I would be travelling around the uk helping people if I could, so I do my best and appreciate you taking time out of your day to watch my videos. I am going to be making lots more as Im going to try and make them in batches to be able to upload twice a week with some quality content. Thanks Craig

Brilliant video Craig. Land registry are surveying my acre this month for my adverse possession 🤞🏻 You’ve wet my appetite to get going with some of these ideas. One of my ideas is to grow certain variety of ferns, a lot of this land is shaded so ideal, plus some varieties sell for £14 a plant, grow like mad too. Also coppicing Hazel and Willow, there are local hedge layers and willow weavers who have to import the material from Devon. Thanks again, Ciaran

Another good thing to add to your farm and your also helping out the declining bee population. I want to start to keep them but I've heard the Guinea fowl just sit outside the hives and eat them..?
@TonyandTeddysWorld
Жыл бұрын
@@thesmallfarmerlife I don't think they would eat them and even if they do there are 40k bees in a colony so they couldn't put a dent in them. I'm going to be doing some beekeeping videos over the spring and summer if you are interested in seeing how we look after them.

My mother always told me that there’s no money in farming, but there’s money in second producing, if you have bees make balms and lotion and cook using the honey, special family recipes bring happier customers

Interesting, so we have our land and living off grid, to be able to stay and get planning supposedly I need a business earning at least £18, 000,. We have had a boring life working and reached retirement, our combined pension income is £25, 000. Why do I need a business to live here as we can support ourselves and have holiday’s whenever. Living the good life, no stress watching the sun rise and set across the fields. Where do we stand as retired people with incomes. Had enough of working. We grow our own food also. Thanks

Mark, I was just like you never touched a spade till I was in the late thirties but that all changed when I went to a friend who again never had a clue but just went for it. Sick of living like ants, nothing better than actually seeing the night sky without light pollution and people in the street arguing over stupid shit. If you want it to mate you will get it some how

Hi, you just need a CPH number and standard Liability Insurance of 2 million or so which costs £150 max a year or so but that's all you need as required to own any animal like goats etc and insurance in case anything happens to anyone while on your business

So if you own a piece of land and can start a business from there and you make £18,000 a year that gives you the right to be able to build a house on your land
@thesmallfarmerlife
Жыл бұрын
Hi Joe theres a little more to it than that you need to prove a need to be there, have a business plan and prove the business is viable going forward which it will be if you are making 18k wages from the business. Now thats wages not turnover. So you can't just make 18k the 18k has to be your wages. So if you make 30k and after all bills are paid you have 18k then yes they have to let you build a home. They will also stick conditions on the house, that only a rural worker can live in it which will knock 20% of the value of the home. This is a shocking tactic but they will do anything to try and stop us normal folk from occupying our own land. It's like Ben Law which is named after him. He built a stunning home in the woods as he is master carpenter if you havnt heard of him or seen his home check it out you wont be disapointed, but his kids will. As he took it to court and a law was passed called Ben Law which means that when he passes away he has to pull down his home, so his children will not inherit it or is wife etc. It has to be put back to how it was before he built the home. It's like my place every building has a condition that if farming ceases on the land the buildings must be removed...? They love their conditions thats for sure
