Our bard made a deal with the DM: a charisma check NEVER fails, but a wisdom check ALWAYS fails and he has to fully embrace the stupid. So basically the bard is dumb enough to think a venomous snake is a magical self-moving dildo and charismatic enough to get the snake to play along. You're welcome for the mental image. @@molybdaen11 oh, the bard literally tried the "why can't we all be friends?"-approach with the BBEG, and it actually _worked_ and the BBEG agreed to stop being evil in favour of us all having a nice picnic! Aaaaand then the bard, being an idiot, set up the picnic blanket so that the BBEG who sat down first sat straight onto a fire ant nest. It was an accident but obviously the BBEG refused to hear a word of it (so there wouldn't be another charisma check to get the bard out of it, that kind of nerfing is a bit necessary), and went right back to hating our guts. So we had to kill him anyway while the bard sang a sad version of You Have a Friend in Me from Toy Story by changing it to You _Had_ a Friend in Me. So the DM finds ways not to let the bard's super charisma avoid all the battles. The venomous snake dildo? That wasn't for interrogation, the bard found a snake and in his infinite stupidity thought it was a dildo so he used it on _himself_ 🙈 Do not ask whether it was the head or the tail of the snake. Just don't.

@@nalinea18I dont know if you sre still playing this game but you should let the DM know that just because he can always pass Charisma checks it doesnt mean that people are going to do whatever the fuck he wants. The BBEG isnt going to change his entire mind about the world and what he wants to do to it with one conversation with a very charismatic bard. Maybe if they have been roleplaying the whole campaign that every time they meet the BBEG has been more and more agreeable to the Bard because if his charisma and this final confrontation is a culmination of all of that. But like a BBEG isnt just going to give up on their plan of world domination because of one silver tongued Bard. Put it to real life. Imagine if Hitler 1 day just gave up all of his plans to expand Germany because a super charismatic person was just like "you probably shouldnt do this." This should give a lot less power to your friends super charismatic Bard in case your DM is rubbing his temples wondering how to get out of this situation.

Matters on the party really, some make you roll top down so like your first roll is Strength, your second is Dexterity, and so on. I wouldn’t recommend personally, but it could be fun if you truly didn’t know what you wanted to play and you let luck essentially pick what your good and bad stats were. No one who intends to go into life or death combat is going to do something so stupid as go “I am physically weak, therefore I am using this great axe as my primary weapon!” If you’re going to make them pick class before stats at least have the decency to let them place the numbers where they want. Your player may choose to play a class that doesnt fit their stats, and that’s fine. But let that be a choice they make, not something you force on them.
