When I see people saying stuff like you have said I wish you was around at the time when all this started... Mate you would not believe what it was like to be young in the early 90s.... I believe nothing else like this has ever happened since then... And I think I speak for everyone in their early 50s and 60s that ITWILLALWAYSBEWITHUS... and when we die and there is a heaven and we can go and do what we want I can guarantee you that we all love going back to the late 80s early 90s..... @@jasonscott848 I'm 47 and missed out on those early golden years. Started late 92 for me. Would loved to have been there from 90-91. I was buying all the tapes, collecting the flyers, getting high but sadly just too young to go to those early raves. So gutted.

Love this. LOVE Bukem, esp 93/94 - my first raving years 😎// always speechless listening to his sets; so musical, so considered, so clever. Rolls out and then breaks it down time and again, knows exactly the place in the tune he wants to mix from. Every set a masterclass.

What's that bird tune called?
@jirioto6089

As far as I know, this dates back to the pre-digital era where digital technology couldn't interfere with signals like it does today. I make up slogans for it, something like "sample, but don't resample". Digital processing is the cancer of our time. Unsurprisingly, this has to do with time and the understanding of time in music. Another motto: "The whole magic of music comes from the instrument. The musician adapts." "Two steps forward, one step back." for technological evolution.

all these tunes are made with digital equipment. Digital akai, Roland and Emu samplers. Digital synths like Roland D-50, Korg M1 etc etc. Mastered to a digital DAT recorder. Some even used Digital mixing desks.

@@utd4theleagueutd4theleague17 Know it. Sampler is ok. I focus on the curve that the sample means. Simply put, the ideal geometric-mathematical curve will affect the signal. The sound is only sine-like, not exactly sine. Maths is not good at some things, sound is one of those things.

@@drubber007 Certainly did! Took a 50yr old ex-raver with me :) It was all UK Bass before Bukem, which was actually pretty good. The Bukem came on at 1am and tore the place to pieces. He played upfront jungle, remixes of classics, but always, always - kept it rolling. AND...Bukem wandered through the crowd and hung out by the bar at the end so I go to thank him. My friend described it afterwards as a, "borderline spiritual experience". Pretty much sums it up :) So, am I going to see him in the recently announced show back in Brixton on June 17th? What do you think??? :)
