I can't help imagining how much better Franco Columbo could have been in future strongman competitions. For his size he is insanely strong (just look at his powerlifting stats), and was doing really well in the 1977 WSM until he got injured. He was pretty lean from the videos ive seen, same with Ferrigno, its easy to say they could have done better if they had packed on more pounds but hey.. bodybuilders. Franco was around 168cm and 185 lbs or whatever it was , and from what i know most of the field in 1977 were all over 100 lbs heavier than him. Rip to Franco Same with Marius, i feel like he could have done better by being heavier, but then he would have been a lot less speedy on events, which he was known for.
