I visited the house, statue, museum and bakery in 2002. Lucy was still buried in Forest lawn Hollywood Hills at the time. And there was an even worse statue that was carved out of wood. It was hideous. I am sure they got rid of it. Everybody hated it. The new one is beautiful.

In the 58 years that I've lived, the deaths of just three celebrities have brought tears to my eyes: Don Knotts, Johnny Carson and Lucille Ball. Lucy was so omnipresent that she seemed to be part of the family. In my opinion, the second Lucy statue is much better! (By the way, Chatauqua is pronounced Chaw-Talk-Waw.)

We didn’t watch Lucy all that much, but my favorite episode was the Candy Factory Episode. Every time I watch it I just bust out laughing, simply because I have 4 Friends that I could see doing that with me. It just gets to that “funny bone” and the laughter starts! Thank you for making this video. Lucy was my favorite comedian. I remember watching the reruns but was the first time I watched "I Love Lucy" program as a child in the 60's. I remember I was learning my A,B,C's and would have to get them correct twice before I could watch her show. Great memories. I agree that the first statue was scary but was a fan of the that episode. The new statue looks like Lucy walking down the street.
