Yeah, the SPL stuff really got a lot better in the past few years. Once major problem with them though is the tension rod threads are not standard. I had one I restored at one point and no standard tension rods would fit in the lugs. I ended up having to replace the lugs that were missing tension rods with some leftover tama lugs I had.

Hi, what differences do we have between the 2 versions? "Pocket kit" and "Breackbeats"..thank you

The Pocket Kit is more geared towards kids, where the Breakbeats has some more pro/adult features such as a bass drum lift, longer floor tome legs, more finishes and cases. Not to say an adult couldn't play the Pocket though.

That's actually a nice little budget bop kit that would be easy to transport. And the drums sound great (going by this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/03qVtp2XaqSGgKg). I like :D ... And certainly an amazing childrens kit. I've also been a drum teacher, and it can be a real problem with those short arms and legs on a regular sized kit. Plus those brass cymbals sounds to be on the quiet side, which in my book is a plus for kids.

@demonicsweaters

the grease is for the lugs of the drums, you're supposed to dab a tiny bit on each lug before putting it on. The other little piece is probably the sleave for the kick drum pedal to stick to the hoop, giving the pedal a tighter grip.

It's pretty good for the money. You can always upgrade it later. If you have a bit more money, you could consider a Yamaha Rydeen amzn.to/450TI8V. They don't come with hardware or cymbals, but the shells would last you a lifetime if you took care of them. Then you could get a hardware pack like this amzn.to/41FGxHI. And a good cymbal starter pack like amzn.to/3MsvPAa. You could also look around for used deals, look for Tama, Pearl, Ludwig, or Yamaha complete sets used. You can often find full sets used for $250-$500

@demonicsweaters

I think both kits sound good. Don't expect them to be quieter though. Smaller drums = higher pitch, not less volume. I am 5' 11" and can play the pocket kit. You might want to get some higher floor tom legs though and a bass drum riser. Not totally necessary, but will make it go higher overall.
