I am nearly 40. It's taken me all this time to actually sit down a read what's in the Bible and make efforts to understand it. As a youngster I would try to read but couldn't get past a page 1. With regular reading I am now able to understand much of what I read because I have taken the time and have sought to learn. I can assure anyone, there is nothing better than being able to read and understand first hand. Only after I have read will I hear a teacher who knows more than me. But it's essential that both things go hand in hand. Blessings to you all.

I usually read the chapters first then listen to the pastor tell us about it, even particular verses and words often. I've only been reading the bible a short time and the pastor here really brings out the meaning of the chapters, verses etc. He just is a naturally good Bible teacher. Glad I found him.

I do the same thing!! I read the chapter first before I hear a pastor preach on that chapter to make sure it is accurate! That’s the wisest move to make. And Pastor Paul has been doing pretty well explaining each chapter

Then was Jesus represented as the vinedresser in the parable, and the three years represented as the three years of his ministry, before moving on to the Gentiles to bear fruit?

Question...i don't get the flour for 100 people. Genesis 18:6 has 3 measures for 3 "men" visiting Abraham, and a commentary on revelation 6:6, "3 measures of wheat"...says 1 loaf?

So are we assuming the Galileans who died never repented before they died? Im still having trouble understanding the "likewise perish" part. Because the Galileans died PHYSICALLY not SPIRITUALLY. So i am confused. They were telling Jesus that the Galileans died physically. So why would he answer with spiritual death, when thats not what they were talking about?

"Perish" means "your time will run out" to change your mind . . . Just like the Galileans and those who had the tower fall upon them
