There is a really good song called "Buddies". It is track 16 on his new album. It is a really good song. If you liked "I Did It Again", you will love this song. I hope it gets played on the radio, but you can't blame Luke Bryan for what gets picked as singles. The main stream music industry is to blame for that, please remember that.

I'm watching the Dirt Road Diary Series now. I've never heard of this guy before, mind you I was a country music fan, however I've chosen to quit listening to country. Country music has a lot to do about family, and kids, and going through infertility at the time, it was just too hard on my heart, so I began listening to rock/metal. Now, after my divorce and turning to Christ, I'm listening to I guess you'd call it "modern or contemporary Gospel". Anyway, I got up to the part where Luke was talking about having a hit song with "All my friends say" and then having a loosing song...so I paused the show and I'm thinking... hell let me be the judge of that. So I pulled up this video on my phone. All I have to say is Luke....I don't know who's telling you what.... but you've got rocks in your head if you think this song is a looser. I don't care what the charts say, this is a number one hit in my book.

Pop country starting coming in 2012 and then he started singing both genres to not make the other artist feel bad, it seems like a lot of them who have sung traditional country in the early 2000s have began switching their style to not make those other artist feel bad

Unless you are someone like Brad Paisley, Justin Moore, Or Josh Turner or someone like that. That's one of the reasons why they hardly receive radio play anymore. Whoever allows these pop sounding country sings to be played on country music stations deserves to be throat punched. I miss the days when you could turn on a radio station and hear good music in the 2000s but now I can't even turn on the radio hardly anymore because everytime I try to hear a country song it's like listening to the same stuff you would be hearing on pop stations it's ridiculous what people have turned country music into

Some knew he was the guy who wrote the Billy Currington turnip greens song but thats it. Wen knew who he was though because Luke grew up just outside of Albany GA in the country. On a farm. My wife is from Albany so they knew of his family. Zac brown band also from that area. He's been a good ol boy his whole life. Im not gonna judge him for his last few years. I might not like his knew stuff but every now and then i'll go back to this song and think about high school and our field parties driving our trucks 8 years ago.

If Luke would return to songs like this -- you know, actual country songs -- then he might contribute something to the history of country music. His recent singles, like "Kick Up the Dust," will be an embarrassment, as they should be already.

I'm from Southwest Washington State and it's about as country as it gets, lots of people with Mossyoak and cowboy hats and lots of cammo and mud covered 4x4s and Jeeps, I even saw a jacked up mud covered Jeep with a big ol' Rebel flag flying in the back. Like Brantley Gilbert says, "Country Must Be Country Wide".

I got a one ton diesel never had anything in the bed over 200 pounds and never had a hitch in the receiver but I need it to look country and drive it everyday. I listen to today's country music cause it gives my urban lifestyle substance. Hey I'm in an office for 8 hours a day I deserve to feel like a man. Right?

@@ragereynolds4374 not necessarily.youre referring to classic country i believe.what about a guitar?is that not classified as a country instrument?almost all of his songs have guitar music in them.plus, songs like this where he talks about country life would definitely be classified as country in my opinion because he talks about farms and hauling hay and driving tractors.thats certainly country
