A California clothing company has been hit with lawsuits claiming it recruited women to sell its goods from home and left thousands of them with unreturnable merchandise.
Okay but seriously those clothes are hideous. 🙅🏻♀️

I feel bad for anyone who went into debt trying to resell this stuff but where is the personal responsibility? LLR did not hold guns to people's heads to buy their stuff. These people chose to buy stuff out of their own volition and could not afford it. You need to be responsible with your own money and accept that not everyone is cut out to sell products.
@jamesgossweiler1349

I would have recognized this as a BS scheme the moment I learned that the "retailers" have to buy the clothes themselves from LuLaRoe to sell to customers. You see, a good sale person could simply "drop ship" any clothing they sell directly from LuLaRoe. Knowing that they could take advantage of gullible saleswomen everywhere, they made these women themselves the customers. I know of at least two women with LuLaRoe clothing stacked in boxes floor to ceiling in their houses. It's remarkable how people fall for the same schemes over and over...

In order to stay in business, the company requires you to buy new inventory each month, regardless of what you’ve sold or not, so you as a seller are continuously investing more money into the business, they make a profit regardless, and if you don’t sell your items, oh well. You don’t get to exchange unsold items, or select the patters, and although that was once an advantage for sellers (giving each a level ground since all patterns were random), it soon became the biggest downfall for sellers. That, and competition, in my town there are still several thousand sellers. Like I said before, over saturation wasn’t necessarily the problem, there could be an infinite number of sellers per square mile, and they would all have equal advantage due to the random inventory, but with so many sellers, eventually buyers get a preference for a specific seller, and it becomes a popularity contest for sellers.

The tops are shapeless bags with holes cut in them for head and arms. Sometimes women tie a knot in them. Not exactly style leaders. NO! The company promised their naive reps (I told them at the time it was BS but they wouldn't listen....)100% buy back including shipping. Then they encouraged HUGE orders b/c hey if it doesn't sell we'll buy it back...THEN the company said NOPE, we changed our mind! They only refund a very small percentage of reps, a very small percentage of what they've mailed back. 99% of reps are being refunded $0. While the owners bought $5 million in cars and opened 13 LLC, all in preparation for bankruptcy. They are also on record, in court documents as saying that they won't pay up, but rather flee to country to an island with their millions. The owners are SCUM who don't pay vendors or anyone shit. They owe Fed EX over $100K & so now they dropped them and ship with another company. They also steal art and put it on their clothes. They're so sloppy and stupid they've even left the artists watermark on the leggings! They're being sued for a few hundred million.

That’s a true multilevel marketing business. If you have to buy thousands in product to get started and you don’t have the money or means, then that’s on you. Selling is no guarantee. Why do you think so many small businesses go belly up? Do they turn around and sue? This is no different than opening a small business. Take responsibility of your own actions and stop blaming others because you didn’t work day and night like all small business owners do. I flyer business to business when it’s 115 degrees out to get people in my store front.
