dear Jarwal .. I have this TZ80 mainly for stills .. I am now interedy in TL n slomo BUT busy looking for an actioncam to do it - I did not realise what a good TZ80 camera I have until I saw your video - tQ - I will forget about actioncam to do good TL+slomos.. (I like that TZ80 can compile the TL in the camera) Again, tQ Jarwar

Well, depends on what you need it for - if U make HQ video for professional purposes then you need professional camera, but if you want to make nice slo-mo for YT - GoPro it's easy, simple and good quality. TZ80 has that option but i gave up at some point cos ether is to complicated to use it for a guy like me OR, if i was using it properly , the quality was really poor for me.

@@Fit-4-Life hi, again, tQ for ur kind reply n time spared. slomos for me definitely for personal viewing at the PC. If u say at times things can be complicated with the TZ80, then I would be LOST altogether hehe. I will look into the GoPro or some other budget actioncam. tQ n take care Sir, again.

Hello, I have the Panasonic lumix dmc-tz80 camera and I can't be happier with it but I have a problem, maybe I don't know how to do it right and that is that when I do a timelapse and set it to turn on in a minute it activates at 12 o'clock. night and record that minute, when I am on the screen "Interv. Time-Shot" I have fixed that the date is one day after the current one, what I do wrong, greetings and thanks

Hello, i think that when you set time to start it's time of the day in next 24 hours. so when you set 0:01 is not one minute it's one minute past midnight. 0:01am. so what i'd suggest first check if your date and hours are correct on the camera and then just set start time like alarm clock. the length of the time lapse depends of other settings - pics times interval

The lowest shooting interval on my camera is 10 secs can I change this. Also there is no create video option it just says sequence play when I go into camera roll

if i stop the camera before the end of the time lapse sequence, will the camera ask if I want to make a video file still? This is just in case I don't need the whole 300 shots, like in this video.
@Fit-4-Life

Yes camera will ask you, first if you want to pause, end or continue shooting and when you choose ending next will ask you if you want ot make the video file

Thanks! one more question: Can I charge the camera while the time lapse is on? I plan to do long time lapse, like 20+ hours and I'll need to keep the camera charged for it.
@Fit-4-Life

As far as i know standard charging mode is when the camera is off, so when you connect it to the computer or other source the message on the screen is to turn off the camera to start charging, i know it's a bit pain if you want to leave it shooting over the all night long. i think it maybe special charger interface that you can put inside instead of the battery for long time shooting. i had that thing for different camera

Omg... I have this camera but hardly use it nowadays, as I have the GoPro 6 and the new Osmo Pocket... but am thinking seriously about getting the Weebill Lab gimbal to give this camera more use... I didn't know this camera could do timelapse video.. in the middle of doing one right now.. it's set for another 3 hours.. but just a question... I'm using a charger for the camera ATM... as I know the battery won't last that long... will this still be charging and working at the same time???

lol, nope - no chance - the only way is to take extra batteries with ya, but to be honest i never came across really nice spot for timelapse with a power socket in the cable lenght distance haha

Can you change the zoom setting when doing time lapses? Canon G5x star time lapses can only use the widest setting, so this is very limiting. also, what's the longest time lapse you've done?
@Fit-4-Life
6 жыл бұрын
You can change the zoom after pausing Time lapse, to do this you need to press 'Fn1' and choose pause on display menu then change zooming and press shutter button again. I have no extra battery or any other power bank or something, camera does not allow to charge during operating so the longest timelapse was just lasting of my battery so i thing 2-3 hours
@HopeFullSpiritFlyer1

hello. i suppose that the time laps must be always longer time then the picture exposure time? thank you.
@murf537
Жыл бұрын
no - if a photo uses 1/250 to expose correctly for example, i doubt you would see it if you set that time to view it (I doubt its actually possible) - the playback is how long the image is displayed for (if even possible) - the time lapses i do i usually use 1/10 of a second to display (play back) the image - but mine are shot over 24 hours - 1 image every 10 seconds when recording - I use Corel Video studio to create the finished film

how many hours can the camera work while taking timelapse?
@Fit-4-Life
3 жыл бұрын
not very long, average time on your battery , depends on battery condition 1-2 h. unfortunately to run time-lapse on charger you need special interface that simulates battery inserted cos standard charging does not allow camera to work.

Not yet :) i got one video 'how to set shutter at 60 seconds' which is for night shooting and if you want to try long shots you may need to know how to set the camera. location matters for night shooting because stars are easy to picture away from lights of big cities and realy hard to shoot if you try in the city center :) if I have some good advice i will make video about it for sure
