I find your park reviews super useful for when I visit parks. I'll be going to Alabama Adventure, Lake Winnie, and Tropic Falls in a couple months. Any video plans or recommendations for any of these?

I haven't been to Tropic Falls. For Alabama Adventure, do the water park first if you're interested in that and arrive at opening. Rampage almost never has a line and it warms up after an hour or two.

I know I am a bit late to the party for this video but fun fact, with Coney Island the massive white part out the font in the wall way if it is still there at night time will project your shadow to the entire park, it isn’t very noticeable but it does happen

Mike did you make it to Aussie World? They used to have a wooden wild mouse with an identical layout but closed it as well. They now have one of Reverchon's MK2 of their spinning coaster.

I did not. Drove past it on the way to the Australia Zoo though. My wife wanted a mix of things for our honeymoon, so I only put the big parks onto the itinerary.

Luna park was the worst show experience I had as a child lol.. I had to choose between the aquarium or Luna park. I chose Luna park for the awesome rides. Once we finally got to Luna park my excitement switched to pure sadness when I wasn’t allowed to go on any of the rides cause I was too young/short. All I could go on was the “baby rides” which is exactly what I called them baha. The Ferris wheel is the only Ride I actually remember going on. My local Showgrounds in my tiny hometown in the middle of no where Australia was 100x more fun than boring soft Luna park lol..

Unfortunately, the highlight of Tango Train (no seatbelts) has been reversed with the recent addition of one going across your lap. The operations on that are now even worse thanks to that, but it did add an interesting element with the operators handing you the key to unlock the seatbelts yourself one by one at the end of the ride. Not sure if thats common in the US but it gives a bit of rider participation lol. Very interested that Boomerang was down, think I've only seen it fully down for a period twice since its opened

That's a bummer Tango Train got seatbelts, but I'm not surprised given the safety standards I observed in Australia.

The seatbelts are suprising to hear about as a german. The Mack models here with thier insane speed only have one huge bar for the whole row and it doesn't even touch your lap, nothing. I love these types of rides a LOT, but to be honest a seatbelt would be a no go for me.

It seems the Sydney park is better than the Melbourne one BY FAR. I went in April and LPM was a disappointing experience. Let’s compare it: Prices: Melbourne is rather cheap compared to Sydney, with $51 tickets. You cannot leave the park at all however, so no getting views on the boardwalk or getting food and coming back etc. Also there is no pay-per-ride option, you must get the all rides one. Rides: The rides were decent, however Sydney’s were much better and more well maintained. While Sydney tries to mix the theme of the park throughout the whole area, Melbourne crams rides into random spots. Operations: The operations were HORRIBLE. Some of the rides had 10-minute dispatches as well as most running in reduced capacity like Scenic Railway, that only had 1 train. Since that was a 4.5 min ride cycle, there were basically 1 cycle every 10 minutes. Atmosphere: Compared to the Sydney one, the Melbourne park also doesn’t have a great atmosphere. As I said before, there is things cramped everywhere and ruins the clean park. Also the dispatches were long (as I said) with lines hardly keeping you in. I was called to go on the Twin Dragon and I had to walk sideways to get through the line. So it is worth it for the Scenic Railway but it isn’t as good as Sydney. Also if you are tall on the Scenic Railway it is a knee-basher, I am 184cm and everytime it went down a hill, I smashed my knees into the train.
