Dear Mr. Mroue, As someone who grew up in Hamra area in the 60s, May I suggest an episode on the old famous restaurants of Beirut that may have closed. For example: Ghalayeeni Fish restaurant, Automatic Idriss in Downtown, Faysal near AUB Main gate, Zeina, near AUB Main gate, Arlequin near Wadi abou Jmeel, Al A3jami in Downtown, Patisserie Suisse 8n Bab Idriss among others. God bless you. I really enjoy the episodes you post and you remind me and those like me of the old days. May God heal Lebanon’s wounds.

@@bmroue In reality, there is no place like Beirut in the 60s and early 70s. 🤷🏻♂️

I totally agree. I was very young then, but my parents trusted me to be able to go places on my own because the city was safe. The different souk-streets like souk Ayyas or souk al tawileh, were amazing, and the food was great. Restaurants definitely had a higher standard than today.
