By the recent comments under this track, I can tell people don’t really know the reason he dropped this song. Back in 2013 I believe, Lupe said something about chief keef and chief keef threatened to slap him. Lupe didn’t disrespect him or anything, and he started encouraging chief keef. So Lupe announced he was retiring after that exchange and that’s when he dropped this song. It was a song he did that was unreleased and not mixed or mastered. He dropped this after that exchange because it kind of lined up with what happened when he was just trying to help keef. This song was deep because he was explaining in a way how he’s been trying to help others but they’d rather stay stuck in limbo in the affairs of this world. This concept was deep! I wish there was a video for it.

I always heard he dropped this song after his friend got killed or something, never knew about the Chief Keef beef. It gives the line about the younger and older heroes a whole different perspective.

When committing to help people you start out with a golden heart believing theres good in everyone. As time passes you see a lot of people love to get help but hate to give it. You see people abuse your kindness and rely on it and expect it while doing nothing for themselves or others, some even take your kindness as a weakness. Damn I relate to this shit especially the older I've got.

One of his best songs. This is one of the realistic songs he had made while talking about fictional people. It influenced me to become a hero, which was my first job I chose as a child. As I've gotten older I relate to the the latter part of the song. One of the deepest songs ever made. This is in one lf the top 15 songs I ever heard in my life. It's truly golden.

yes and Lupe is now the "Older hero". Lupe gave up on trying to "save" people now he just does what he does for fun. Don't get me wrong i am more in love with the "new" Lupe. and even with a change of style.. he is always beast as usual.

Why is there always such a quick decision to create separation from certain musicians as who's the best or tells the truth through their craft...that thinking in itself is part of the division and problems people have today..if they've not necessarily got the message or uplifting voice of the people from someone they've been faithful to for some amount of time it's always the argument of who's better or whatever and takes away from the truth that there are multiple artist with the same ideals
