This is an incorrect understanding of lupus. Beyond having types and subtypes, there are also phenotypes. This type of absolutism will miss many phenotypes, thus missing many sufferers of lupus. Further, the environmental factors are very diverse, and often associated to their phenotype. Lupus, being the great mimic it is, should not be within the realm of absolute logic. Further, per the EULAR ACR, some traits only need to be expressed once. In other words, not all traits will show in a single context. Instead, it shows in a context over time.
