An exquisite scene from an exquisite film. Lucille Ball was so much more than JUST a comedienne. She and Karloff play beautifully together, and her scenes with George Zucco are the the heart of the film. "Lured" is, at the very least, a minor masterpiece.

As a staunch Bela Lugosi fan, I must protest your video description! The only thing Boris Karloff stole is viewers' hearts. I am so very grateful to him for not resorting to any "scene stealing" antics, particularly when playing opposite Bela Lugosi in their 8 films together. He didn't need to lower himself to such nonsense. He was just as talented in his own right and they complemented each other to perfection. But I was just kidding about "protesting" as I do understand what you meant. (I stole that line from his role in Man With 9 Lives, actually! So cute when he says that!) Thanks for uploading. Someone posted this entire film on Dailymotion but the sound is totally off, so it looks like watching a bad karate film.

Few actors could do pathos like Karloff and do it as well.
