Luther had two thorns in his side through the years, one was the issue he had with his fluctuating weight, and the other was the whispers about his sexuality. I bet not one genuine fan/admirer of this man gave two hoots about his private life or what size trousers he had to wear. Luther was a beautiful man, kind, caring, and sincere with a pure heart. It goes without saying he was also a very talented man with a wonderful voice that brought pleasure to millions. Luther left far too soon but we should all do our bit in keeping his memory alive by continuing to listen to his music and sharing so that the younger generation grows up to appreciate this very special man's music.

Hello, you are absolutely right with your comment, you say what many people should know, thank you. I saw my first Luther Vandross concert ( Stop to Love )in 1987 in Ludwigshafen / Germany. When I heard the first notes of this concert I fell into a dream, I could hardly keep my emotions under control, as more and more feelings came up that I never had before in my life. Luther Vandross opened my heart and enlightened my soul . From this concert on I am a very big fan of Luther, until today and forever. Luther Vandross had a very great charisma and a sympathy that very small people have. 1993 I saw another concert by him in Frankfurt / Germany and I felt like at home. Lisa Fischer appeared as the opening act for this concert. Luther Vandross reached millions of hearts and he will continue to reach hearts. I wish you a good time and thank you for your comment. many greetings from Heidelberg / Germany

Just so much personality in his delivery of the melody will slay anyone attempt to overcome him. I'd love to see a head to head with David Ruffin of the Temptations. I think Luther wins going away down the stretch 🤣🤣🤣. But was a ham to the core. And could seduce women from the stage.

I love Luther's voice. One of a kind. My favorite Luther song forever will be ," Any Love" . Played it over and over at a painful time in my life. I can relate to your feeling on lost of Luther. I was gasping for breath when a coworker came and said ,"hey have you heard they found Prince dead." One of the saddest days of my life. I grieved Prince death 4 years. It's like I grew up with Michael, later came Prince. Both deaths hit me hard. I'm actually related to Michael, well the Jackson's period. Probably will never meet them. . My now 95 year old Mother's maiden name is Jackson. Mother's oldest sister passed information on how We're related . She knew and met the elder Jackson's; ones older than Joe Jackson.

Always and forever, Luther is....Luther. There will never be enough superlatives to describe the music we were privileged to hear from those golden vocal chords. My first exposure of him doing a live recording was a vhs video store rental of LIVE FROM WEMBLEY STADIUM 1989. It is my go to music for getting down with barbecuing. The video and audio work, was to me, well engineered enough to looked great and sound well on my 5.1 Yamaha receiver. I later ordered a dvd copy from an audio video store, and you got to know that picture quality is even better. If you are a nutty assed fan, like myself, of Luther and you don't have this video or the 1989 video, treat yourself to one or the other or both. This old dude approves of this message, lol, lol. R.i.p Luther.

I was lucky enough to see Luther in this very concert in London, Wembley Arena in both 86 & 87, and I was very close to the front (squint you might see me) and it was, without a doubt, the best concert I had ever been to EVER!! And if I were rich I would have bought tickets to see him every single night. RIP Luther, you are sorely missed!
