The Rent you pay is crazy expensive. France is a pretty exclusive country and the most visited country in the world outside the US. You can easily find a large villa for way less than $1400 in the countryside. Most retirees in France live on less than $2000 per person. So much for the myth of a cheap paradise in Bali. It may be a very nice place, but it is definitely not very cheap.

Cost of Living in Bali: $650 to $1,700 Expect to spend $650 to $1,700 per month for a single person living in Bali-families and couples sharing rental costs will save a bit. And it's possible to spend significantly more on a higher lifestyle.

@SoloGirlsTravelGuide
2 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry I'm just seeing this NOW. A year later! Yes, cost of living in Bali is pretty affordable, all of southeast Asia is pretty affordable. As far as life expectancy, I don't know enough to speak on that. Anything I said would just be general speculation about nutrition and lifestyle habits. But there are a lot of super healthy habits that the Balinese have that us westerners could benefit in picking up, too! Hope this helps.

Hi Jeff! I use SafetyWing when I'm traveling long-term. If I'm going on a crazy adventure that involves extreme adventures, I use WorldNomads' Explorer plan. Bali does have great access to affordable healthcare, despite what you might read online. But a quick roundup of recommendations. Many people like: RS Bali Mandara BROS Prima Medika Hospital For emergency surgeries (broken bones, internal medicine) however, Bali is not the best. There's a saying "If you're in pain, get on a plane!". If you need a surgery, fly to Thailand (or even Jakarta) for specialists. Hope this helps!

Rightly so they are tired of the over tourism that overwhelms the small island and the infrastructure couldnt take it any more before the pandemic.
