These are great for fresh installs, however can't tell you how often my fellow electricians take the easy way out and have dead end switch wiring in the house, meaning the neutral wire is not present behind every switch location. The homeowners can be pretty frustrated when you have to explain that this pricey lighting solution can't be used for every switch in the house, especially when physical appearance is the biggest reason to use these particular switches. Also, Legrand doesn't seem to have a wireless remote switch option like Lutron, which are really useful when adding a switch location where there's no wiring. Lutron's entry level RA2 setup is more flexible for using on existing wiring as the smart switches don't need a neutral, but they don't look near as good.

Great video I would mention the downsides of not having a hub for your smart stuff. I have so many smart switches that it overlords my router (nighthawk 8000) if you have a hub that eliminates this problem!

Great video man! One thing I hate about all these new smart light switches is that they come prewired.....adding more wire to already crowded switch box! I wish they came with the screw terminal connections or stab-in connections like traditional switches. I wonder if it's because the switch box itself is bigger that they can't do this?

Space is an issue for sure with smart switches. I think overall boxes need to be larger in walls. I've seen some people swapping out the gang boxes for deeper ones.

Can it turn my lights on at 1% brightness and increase to 100% over a 30min period at a specific time Monday to Friday to help wake me up?

Hey Kevin I wanted to know if you still have the legrand smart switches installed at your home and if you have had any problems with them as far as connectivity are they reliable. I read a lot of reviews but most are negative on the connection reliability just wanted to hear what you had to say about this matter.

You can actually use "bond" to make any fan "smart". I've covered it around a year ago, and its been great for my fireplace!
