Linda Barry, I am so grateful to you. When I couldn't draw noses and hands properly at age 8, I gave up drawing. When I saw your work at age 29 it SO spoke to me. I saved your drawings when I found them, but I never drew anything. Last year I found your Syllabus. Now I'm starting a new career; I'm going to become a cartoonist. I'm 61 years old. Thank you Linda, for being funny and wonderful and exactly who you are. xoxoxoxoxox

Thank you so so much for this interview as I recently discovered her and am in total love and awe of her way of the art and the creative processes that comes along with it!! I’m an a self taught artist of 29 years of drawing and other art.... I admire Lynda Barry so so much that I plan on buying her books!!🥰

Thank you for this video! I am not one to leave comments on videos BUT Lynda Barry is a genius! I bought her book this summer and started drawing again. What a wonderful human being you have brought to light in this interview!

At 11:30, "she was in the habit...if she knew you liked something she would just take it away from you" makes me want to cry because my Mom was exactly the same way.
