He passed away a year ago from mouth cancer and gingivitis and I'll never forget him. What a nice post to your step-daddy 💕 Once I turned 24-25, I realized our parents aren’t perfect… they usually do the very best they can with what they know… have been taught. Neither of my parents had easy lives as children & teens, yet, they had 7 children, raised us with rules, morals & principles and each one of the 7 of us are very grateful & have fond & funny memories of the 2 people who kept a roof over our heads, food on the table, clean home, clean clothes, insisted on getting homework done & doing our best at both school & at our jobs. Although we weren’t forced to attend church, our parents followed the Bible & we could recite the 10 commandments from memory. We weren’t poor because my step-daddy worked his butt off, usually only had 1 day off a week & my mom worked hard holding down the fort, keeping us in line, and she’d be up at 5:30am until 11:30pm. I believe most of us are blessed being born in Canada & United States. I must say that the United States is the “Best Friend & Trading/Business Partner” Canada Could Ever Have. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many, many fine Americans & have great memories from the many holidays I’ve had in the U.S. Thanks for your post. I didn’t mean to talk your head off, sometimes, it’s the perfect time to say “Thank You Friends & Neighbours In The U.S.” Cheers. 🇨🇦💕🇺🇸💕

This was my dad's favorite song, he absolutely loved rocking out to the guitar solo! Today is his birthday he would've been 58. He passed away in 2021 so its a very emotional song for my family. He's our free bird now flying high above us. We hear this song from a very different perspective now that he's gone but this will forever be the best song ever written.

My dads favorite song id this song , I remember riding in the back seat listening to this song in my car seat going to to the beach blasting this singing , I know this song will be mine and his song. God forbid my dad leave this earth any time soon , I share that same hurt for this song knowing it will bring me a little bit of sadness / relief one day and I hope it brings relief to you when you remember your sweet soul of a father ❤️
