Gary Rossington and Allen Collins never get the credit they deserve as actually being one of the very best guitar tandems in rock history. RIP to all of the departed Sknyrd members and long live the band and their music. Timeless.

Saw them in Nashville, Tn. in 76' as part of a 3-act bill with the Atlanta Rhythm Section who played first, The Outlaws who played second, and Skynyrd of course closed the show. When I saw them in 76',. Steve Gaines was literally brand new to the band. He'd only been with them just over a month if memory serves. Still have some great photos of the show to this day taken by my dear departed older brother who sadly died of cancer in 2009.

The Bass & Drums sound perfect together on this tune. Awesome lyrics & killer vocals also made this tune great. I've seen Leon, Gary, and Billy "Live" on a night when Johnny was dead on. May 26 1993 At Deer Creek in Indiana. They started their show with a acoustic set. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Only topped by Pink Floyd at the "Hoosier" dome. a few years earlier. Thanks for uploading this. This should have had more views after this many years. Great tune.

I am from Chicago, deep into the blues scene, and I cannot recall hearing about any Skynyrd members ever stopping into a blues jam session or checking out any blues acts. That's over a 25 year period. They come to Chicago frequently, but are not into the blues scene here. That's a fact. I do recall Warren Haynes of The Allman Brothers joining Son Seals up on stage at the Kingston Mines- awesome.

Ronnie always said in interviews when asked about why he went barefoot, he simply said he loved feeling the heat of the stage when performing. This said a lot about the type of person Ronnie was as he was real and not fake and could care less about anyones opinions about him as Ronnie was very short in stature. A lessor man would have worn huge cowboy boots.
