Not sure how your video showed up in my KZitem recommendations. I'm a former California state LEO (worked for one of the uniformed state-level agencies) now working for the feds and living in a more conservative state. Thank you for putting together a Chinese language channel explaining American LEO's to the Chinese speaking community. Your Chinese is far superior than mine. Stay safe, brother.

Awesome sir! Better than CA. Yeah all of my friends around me told me I should do it. Cuz Chinese community has alot of fear and misunderstanding on American LEO . So a team of friends and I started doing this channel.

@@policesays That's awesome. My parents still live in California. It's a beautiful state, but the cost of living is getting ridiculously difficult to tolerate. You are doing a good thing for the Chinese community. Stay safe.

There defiantly are not enough mandarin speaking officers out there! Especially one as fluent as you! I currently work in the OC for 39. Which local agency are you with,?

@@myegolife I suppose you are asking Police Says, not me. My Chinese skill is rudimentary and we no longer live in California. BTW, I knew one of your department's former chiefs. :) And as a native southern Californian, I can say you work in a beautiful city :)
Most US law enforcement officers are authorized to carry guns off duty. Most officers choose to carry a smaller, personally owned handgun off duty because duty weapons tend to be be too big to conceal. With that said, most federal law enforcement agencies require their officers/agents to only carry issued weapons off duty. Mine is a Glock 19.
@@JohnDoe-zg9xq Why don't you try to get hired locally. There are some fairly large police departments in Kentucky - Louisville Metro or Lexington PD... or even KY State police. I'm sure they would love to have a Chinese-speaking officer. Your corrections academy is likely not transferrable and you will need to attend the full police academy if you want to come to the "street side" of the house.

@@codycover8319 you understand Chinese? Yeah I definitely thought of it, just became a US citizen 3 weeks ago. I already applied for LMPD, hopefully it will go well.
Without a badge and PD logo , this is not your uniform , I think your outfit was for filming the personal video purpose . By law and PD policies , we can't film a private video in uniform !

maybe you should not have shown the public how to the pistol is released from the holster. It is one thing to show the officer's equipment, its another to start showing the tactics.
