Isn't it amazing how music crosses over language barriers?! 🎶☺️ Especially a masterpiece like this one. Music doesn't need any advocate, it speaks for itself.

His voice contains so much emotion. 🎶🎤 It doesn't matter that I don't understand the words to feel it. Your analogy of a broken ballerina was a great description. I see a very bright future for this group. I look forward to their journey!! Great song choice Zana!! 🔥 Peace J ✌ ☮ 💕

He was 19 if you can believe it. Controlled aggression is a wonderful way of expressing it. Look up all the lyrics, as they're beautiful; he writes them all. I think almost all of the time he's writing about himself.

in this song they ask "Marlena", their muse, to not abandon them, to come back home... their songs in english are bangers but those in italian are so deep, so emotional...

This is my first time hearing of and listening to this group. I didn’t understand the language but I felt uplifted and motivated to move beyond life’s difficulties. The ballet dancing was like watching a movie.

I’ve never heard of Maneskin before and have no idea what the language is. The man has a beautiful voice and by watching the video you can see it’s about a broken ballerina 🩰 who seems to recover! Beautiful song and story! Fantastic reaction my dear friend! Love ❤️ from across the pond!

Yes, of course it does make sense HAP, when you are moved by a song without even understanding the language, but this is quite impressive, when artists are able to convey the emotion even in this way and just with this fitting video. I don’t know the language either and at the beginning I was sceptical, but wow what a song🤩. Thanks for the fantastic reaction 😊🙋🏻♀️

Marlena symbolizes a muse for the Måneskin, so "Marlena comes home" (Marlena torna a casa) means "Inspiration comes back to us". The sick dancer identifies the difficulty in finding inspiration, up to her fall that is the total loss of inspiration but, by not giving up, we can return to normality, return to having what we thought we had lost.

Come back home Maneskin I walk around my city and the wind is blowing hard I left everything behind, the sun is on the horizon I see the houses from afar, they've closed the doors But luckily I have her hand and her rosy cheeks She picked me up from the ground, covered in thorns With the bites of a thousand serpents, motionless through the coils She didn't listen to those bastards and their words of hatred With one look she convinced me to pick up and leave And this is a journey that noone's ever done before Alice and her wonders, the Mad Hatter We'll walk down this road and I'll never get tired Till time brings white upon your hair I'm left with just a piece of paper in my hand and half a cigarette Let's stay a little longer, there's no hurry There's this phrase written in my mind, but I have never said it Because life without you cannot be perfect So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I don't want to wait anymore So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I'm afraid I'll disappear And here the sky is slowly becoming transparent The sun illuminates the weaknesses in all the people A salty tear wets my cheek while She caresses my face sweetly with her hand With blood on my hands I'll climb up every summit I want to go where the human eye stops In order to learn to forgive all my mistakes 'Cause even angels are sometimes afraid of death I'm left with just a piece of paper in my hand and half a cigarette Let's run away from those who thirst too much for vengeance From this land because by now it makes me suffocate Yesterday I was calm because today I'll be the storm So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I don't want to wait anymore So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I don't want to... Before you I was going crazy, now let me tell you I had a rumpled jacket and cuts on my wrists Today I feel blessed and I can't find anything else to add This city will look out its windows when it sees us arrive I was hanging in the balance between being the victim and being the judge I was a shiver that illuminates the darkness And frees you from these bright, shining chains And the doubt is mine, whether they were deaths or rebirths So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I don't want to wait anymore So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I don't want to disappear anymore So, Marlena, come back home, around here it's growing colder So, Marlena, come back home, I am afraid I'll disappear...

Simply put, Marlena is the muse but she is not a woman, it refers to music. In the text "Marlena returns home" she talks about her difficulty in composing texts because she has lost her inspiration. In the song "L'altra dimensione" of the album "Teatro d'ira" Marlena is back and also with arrogance.

It's essentially a song about writer's block, about a lack of inspiration. Marlena is Måneskin's muse, she's the band, she's the fans, she's the music... Personified in a woman. The song talks about how he felt like nothing until Marlena, aka music, came into his life. But Marlena is gone, and he's begging her to come back home, because without her, he's scared he'll disappear. You'll encounter her again and again if you listen to sings from their first album 'Ballo della vita', she's a recurring theme in that album. And to think Damiano was only 19 when he wrote this song.
