Nagoya Railroad is a leading private railroad in Japan, with a total of 442 km of tracks centered on Nagoya City, which is located almost in the center of the country.
This time, I photographed at the company's Chikko Line. This line is a 1.5 km long branch line in the southern part of Nagoya, and runs through a factory area with no stations in between. It only takes 3 minutes.
The users are almost all commuters who go to factories along the line, and the trains are two-car trains. There are no trains running between 9:00 and 15:00. There are no ticket gates at the terminal station, Higashi-Nagoyako Station, and the ticket gates at the branch station, Oe Station, are in charge of operations.
Just beyond Higashi-Nagoyako Station, there is a grade crossing with the Nagoya Rinkai Railway, making it the only grade crossing of two lines in Japan other than tramways.
