I haven’t seen Esayas for a while. He really looks good and younger. Sadly, instead of at the growth and prosperity of Eritrea, it came at a cost of the innocent people of Tigray. His hands are blood soaked with all of the HoA people! His shelf-life is long overdue.

This man should focus on Eritrea. Eritrea needs constition. Dictator military administration should stop. There should be election, democracy, justice freedom of speech and fast development. We do not need much explanation about other countries. The government in Eritrea should be accountable.
Under IA, we have not experienced remarkable economic growth and diversification: we do not have an advanced economy (even by the standard of the region) and we do not have developed financial and industrial sectors; we continue to be dependent on the production and export of commodities; we have no official policy support for market forces, privatization of government enterprises, and domestic private business; no high average life expectancy; no high standards of hygiene; no access to superb health care system; no elaborately structured educational system and no opportunities for higher education. Had our egotistical and pretentious people possesed superior intelligence and zealous dedication to duty, honour, intellectual honesty, and country, and had we been men of substance with ambitious ideas on the future of our country, or been represented by intellectual elites, the dictatorial reign of the aloof despot would not have enjoyed our widespread popular support for more than two decades.

Good points, but I have a sincere question What is your personal life like? Is your body fit? Your sleep decent? Your total income at least 75k USD per annum? Do you have a wife and/or children? Please answer each of these questions. I ask them because I've noticed many people with excellent critiques do not have excellent lives them...I think this is even more common with people from Our region Again, please answer the questions and answer them truthfully

Eripage, I guess he is pointing out for the people need, not for his personal life. So why is his personal life has to do with what people of the nation need. Since, you are making good points, you seem the kind of person that you referred him to be. With that being said could you humbly and firstly answer all the questions of yourself and tell us how your personal life is? Thanks

@@EriPages you've acknowledged rightly that he has made very important points. But your questions are also relevant for all of us to answer. Because we need to be individually successful in our lives before before we can be good examples and exercise practical leadership in our communities and country. Ultimately the "temporary" failure of Eritrea post independence was primary because of lack of leadership- we failed to transfer the miraculous organisational capabilities of the EPLF into economic and social transformation of the country. The last 30 years had been wasted because the leaders of the warring years didn't have the skill sets or the aptitude to make Eritrea inc. Into a successful red sea nation. This is total failure of leadership they are very good at winning wars but totally rubbish at winning peace. They are too egoistic to realise this deficiency in time to rectify it and thus make Eritreans enjoy the dividends of independence. Anyhow this era is reaching it natural conclusion because of the age of these liberation era participants. The new generation should learn from the past, take the good parts and add to it and move fast to ensure Eritrea is on the path of sustainable economic development with a strong state and military. Our neighbours are not as significant to our development as Issayas wants us to believe- the whole Eritrean economy is sustained by the Eritrean diaspora so if the right laws are implemented investment would flow into Eritrea from it's own sons and daughters without the need for our neighbours to have peace or not..that is secondary our security never depended on their peace nor is our economy. Eritrea's economy has the potential to equal the first world. Not main African country have this potential. For a start, at least a third of Eritreans live in the first world and all want to invest in their country...can you imagine the economic transformation within a few short years if that happens? China transformed in 30 years from third to first world..what have we done in 30 years? Nothing according to the president!!

With due respect, your question is irrelevant to my comment. I will not disclose private information about myself. I will say these few characteristics of my personality though Im someone who have no problem voicing my opinion about things i read. I believe that our people (especially young men like me) need to be exposed to more information and related readings so that they can be taught that not all of what they accept and have been tought at face value have been built on proper academic research. I belive we can only learn and benefit from soberly expressed views. I am not boastful and derive no satisfaction in showing my intellectual superiority over my less educated countrymen, but, i do belive that my posts are among the ones our people ought to read and sometimes re-read because they are thought provoking; the let the reader ask questions, which i think is the key merit of good writers, whether one agrees or disagress with them. Im by nature a drill master and an inspector general, i like to use regimentation, orderliness, neatness, and precision as my method of coping with the problems of life. I insist on minute and precise regulation with nothing left to chances in every sphere of my existence and activity. Our useful role at this time of our people's existence is focusing on the bigger and essential picture.
