This video has references back to their older MVs such as Adore U (debut), Mansae, Change Up (Seventeen leaders. So just S.Coups (Hip Hop Team leader and overall group leader), Hoshi (Performance Team leader and main choreographer), and Woozi (Vocal Team leader, producer, and main lyricist)), and more. Please do react to more of them if you can. Especially the dance practices. They're so insync it's mind boggling.

This song Clap is just part of a very long story. It started with [Adore U], their debut song and the story continued to [Mansae], [Pretty U], [Aju NICE], [Boom Boom], [Don't Wanna Cry], [Clap] and ended with [Thanks]. [Oh My!] is the start of another story. As for this video, [Clap] is really an exceptional one specially for the fans because it consists tiny bits of their previous songs as well as songs included in the album like [Change Up]. This features their brand as SELF-PRODUCING IDOL as well the song [Thanks]. They participate in both composing and writing of lyrics as well as the overall production of the song and choreography.

Ooo lyric wise seventeen have a lot of lyrics about love, crushes, growing up etc because their fans are mostly teens and people in their early 20's (there are a lot of exceptions though) In case you want I've broken all their songs down into different categories but they often cross over. This is very broad and not all songs under a given category are the same lyrically, musically or in tone but it's a rough idea. (I've put two ** beside title tracks and 1 * beside b-sides with mv's) 1) Crush/ Confession songs - Adore u ** - 20 - Mansae ** - Pretty u ** - Hit song - Swimming fool - Hello - Falling for you - Oh my - Q&A ft Ailee * 2) Love songs (established relationship in songs) - Rock - When I grow up - Fronting - Very nice ** - Boom Boom ** - Beautiful - Lean on me - My I * - Crazy in love - Swimming fool - Lilili Yabbay * - Thinking about you - Falling for you - Holiday - Come to me - Moonwalker - Call Call Call (JPN) ** 3) Fan songs (Songs dedicated or wrote for carats but some are just songs that are love songs that are often used as fan songs at concerts) - Love letter * - Healing * - Beautiful - Highlight * - Smile Flower * (most meaningful fan song) - Campfire - Thanks ** - Our dawn is hotter than day - Call Call Call (JPN) ** - We gonna make it shine * 4) Hype songs - Ah yeah - Omg - Chuck - Check in * - Who - Shoot me and go - Un haeng il chi - Lotto - The real thing 5) Rocky relationship love songs - No F.U.N - I don't know - Don't listen in secret - Fast pace - Flower - Run to you 6) Break up songs - Say yes - I don't know - Don't listen in secret - Don't wanna cry ** - If I - Habit - Without you - Pinwheel - Run to you 7) Party songs/ Let's live it up kinda songs - Jam Jam - Omg - Chuck - Healing * - Check in * - Clap ** - Change up * - Rocket - What's good - Just do it ** 8) You haven't seen the est of us yet/ Watch us rise kinda songs - Shining diamond * - Chuck - Who - Shoot me and go - Lotto - We gonna make it shine 2014 and 2018 version * - The real thing 9) Growing up songs - When I grow up - Drift Away - What's good - We gonna make it shine 2014* - Zero - Ateen (Ost) * 10) Deep lyric songs (Personal opinion, also includes inspirational, motivational, and interesting love songs) - Still lonely - Hit song - Drift away - Simple - Space - I don't know - My I * (you need to watch the chinese lyric trans and korean lyric trans one after another for full effect) - Clap ** - Pinwheel * - Trauma * - Change up * - Rocket (i prefer korean version but the english one is okay too) - Thanks ** - What's Good - Just do it ** - We gonna make it shine *(watch the 2014 lyric trans then the 2017 version trans as they respond to each other) I think that's it. I apologize for how longs this is but I think it may help ^-^. I'm assuming you're an Army so I will warn you that Seventeen's lyrics in general aren't as deep due to their age, company, life experience and target demographic but for all it's worth their lyrics always convey the feeling they aim for very well imo. Also in case you didn't know every member has lyric writing credits and some have composing credits besides Woozi who composes a large majority of their songs( with the help of an in house producer called Bumzu. Bumzu has also solo composed a few of Seventeen's tracks). There are also a whole bunch of unreleased songs and solos but the fancams aren't great.

I knew you would enjoy this! So, just to give you a little context, Baksu means clap in Korean but the sound that you hear that sounds like cha, cha, cha is actually jak, jak, jak. Jak is actually the sound fx a clap makes in Korean. Also, For this album was called Teen, Age. They did 5 videos and Clap was actually the last in the series. The rest were songs performed by each subunit of SVT. And they were in this order. The Leaders (of each subunit) - Change Up HipHop Unit - Trauma Performance unit - Lilili Yabbay (Dance of the 13th Month) Vocal Unit - Pinwheel SVT - CLAP You will also find that there are many references to all the other videos within the CLAP video, itself. I'd also like to suggest you delve deep into their dance practices. Their precision is not to be fucked with they are truly that good and I think you'd appreciate them and big brothers Nu'est (pronounced New East) .

Seventeen dance practice or choreography videos!! Any of them will blow your mind! And one thing I love about Seventeen is their lyrics. Woozi (one of the members) writes most of their stuff (although other members write as well). And he writes simply, from the heart. No weird imagery or riddles to figure out. Just beautiful, meaningful, honest expressions of emotion. And since he's composing and producing as well, the musical score expresses the emotions he's trying to convey perfectly. One of my favorite songs from the Vocal Unit is Habit. It's a ballad so no choreo. Check it out. Oh! The sucky thing about Pledis (their company) is they don't put subs on their vids. Here's a live version with subs. Enjoy! kzitem.info/news/bejne/zaqXnYiXcJGSnmk

As seventeen is a group that does their own lyrics, there's actually a lot of thought put into every song! Vocal unit songs and some hip hop unit songs will probably have the deepest lyrics (don't listen in secret and habit are particularly heartbreaking and trauma gets really deep once you attach them to the member's personal lives). Personally, I really like Well/ I Don't Know lyric wise and listening to the song makes me cry sometimes lol so check those out if you want! These songs don't all have music videos unfortunately but you should totally check them out on your own!
