Here's a video of me having a chat from my display at the Military Odyssey 2018 Show in Kent using a New Zealand ZC1 Transceiver, designed and built in WW2, with a Clansman 321 mounted in a Ferret Armoured Car. The Ferret belongs to and was being driven by fellow VMARS member Gordon Bubb with 2 chums, Nick/M0KOT and Ed/G8YXR riding shotgun in the display arena a half mile or so away. Bearing in mind the Ferret is normally crewed by 2 people Nick and Ed must have been very well acquainted!
The ZC1 is an excellent set and compares favourably against the British WS19. It's more convenient to use as both the power unit and aerial tuner are built into the set. The AM audio on TX in the set up here is being boosted by a remote control unit which gives quite a bit more punch than standard trim.
This video's a fine example of the fun you can have with vintage kit, in particular if you also have vintage vehicles and kit to partner...and perhaps are involved with military reenactment.
