I agree I don't need a full MacOS on it and the CPU on these things are pretty limited. What I WANT to see is an application layer where I can run native silicone MacOS apps on the iPad.

As you guys pointed out, I have corporate laptop for work and I use the iPad as my personal computer with a Logitech keyboard and mouse. I always prefer a mouse over a laptop trackpad.

Because of my eyes, I jumped in right away and got the iPad Pro. It is coming the 15th, but they sent me the case. I was really shocked how heavy the case feels in my hands. I’m just kind of wondering why…. And I bought an Apple Pencil finally and I’ve never been able to use it. So screw that. And because of that, I’ve never bought a keyboard. I’m an old lady with small hands and I can use the keyboard on the screen just fine. Also watch the weight because of my week fingers and wrist. I love you too because I am 74 and you make this stuff logical and non-technical enough for me to learn from you and know what you’re talking about. I would love to spend the day with you too.!

My first day on the floor at the Apple Store was the day the first iPads were unboxed. I immediately bonded with it & rarely use my phone or desktop anymore As a retiree now, I can’t swing one of the pros, but I have my eyes set on this new air …hope I can swing the 13”

The glossy borders is an Apple move. So if someone looks at your screen they know it’s nano texture and not a screen protector

They'll need to keep the original Apple Pencil around for at least as long as they're selling the 10th-gen iPad. To do otherwise would consign users with that device to the non-pressure-sensitive USB-C pencil.

In regards to scanning, I'm fairly certain the iPhone 15 series does have rear ambient light sensors and the fact there's LIDAR and adaptive flash definitely means the current gen could do it.

Apple transformed a thing that already was a premium device to a super premium device. How many digital artists can or will justify the massive price increase in this new model, specially in other territories besides the US? How will you justify new accessories that only work with the new models? Where is the added functionality of a remodeled iOS? Still so many unanswered questions that, inevitably, you’ll have to feel pressed to take a further very expensive step.

Do you think users will notice any difference between the M4 PRO 512GB vs the M4 in the 1TB, I didn't realize there were different chips until after I purchased the 512. Between that an the nan0-texture screen I still may exchange and bump up but feel like I am at the sweet spot for best iPad Pro for my buck?

Guys- the iPad was already thin enough. This is an example where you should call them out for undermining consumers. They could have put a bigger battery in, but that would make the iPad future proof well beyond the next cycle, perhaps two or three cycles. But that would undercut profits/sales. This isn't tech innovation, it's cynical design choices marketed to be "wow"...and you're falling for it. You came so close at 2:55 to call them out -”they said it couldn't be done but they did it". Yeah...so...you going to get scuked in again?

A new Mac Logic Pro 11 with the stem separator and other new features is coming out next week same time as the new iPads. Also stem separators have been around for awhile and other audio tools have it and there are online sites that do stem separations so Logic is catching up with everyone else. Continuity camera has been in the iPhone and Mac for awhile already and is really handy. I am a piano player and do Zoom lessons and such and need an overhead shoot of the piano for lesson, I just put my iPhone on a boom stand over my piano and my Mac connects via continuity camera to Zoom or Mac Quicktime for recording. I don't do Final Cut so maybe it a new feature for FC to recognize Continuity camera???

Apple doesn't reinvent the wheel, they just add an engine to it lol. Basically Apple is rarely first with anything but they take something clever that doesn't work great and bring it nearly perfect: 1. Google was first with face ID, but Apple made it more accurate and easy by using a 3D scan instead. 2. Elger labs released the first MP3 player in 1998 but it was bulky and only had 32MB of space. Apple released the iPod three years later, supported more audio formats, and the base model had 5GBs of space... amazing for the time. 3. The first all-in-one computer was the Commodore PET from 1977 and Apple did their All-in-One PC, the famous iMac in 1998. Many more examples but I don't want to go into an essay in a KZitem comment lol.

Which, I believe, is perceptibly similar to iPhone Pro and Pro Max models in recent years.
@@doompod In which case, I think it means the new iPad Pro will be similarly perceptibly bright to the iPhone Pro and Pro Max except in outdoor situations, where the iPhone will be more bright than iPad Pro.

Great show. I think tech KZitemrs have a iPad blind spot. Apple gave them EVERYTHING they asked for with the MacBooks and still they want MORE. I hope Apple listens and makes the MacBook a touch device, not the iPad. As much as reviewers want to believe they are smarter than Apple, they’re not. Healthcare, real estate, musicians, writers, construction, retail, aviation, digital artist... all want pro apps too, not just photographers and videographers. They want Apple to push the limits of a touch and pencil input interface. Mixed use devices are not the answer, the Surface is not knocking it out of the park, remember Windows 8!?!?

It's the kind of physical quality we appreciate, I feel. It's part of the progression of industrial technology. To be able to reduce the scale of these technologies is physically impressive relative to what we could do in the past. Personally, I feel stunned and blown away having used not even the thinnest iPod Nano. To think how much thinner this iPad Pro will be is the contrasting drama for me. It's mad incredible.

I would assume weight reduction. I hated the 12.9in when I had one. It was too heavy to use as a tablet. I used it like a laptop pretty much. This time I’m getting the 11in.
