I like the use of the parched grass paint as the base color instead of the usual OD. I'll try it out on a 1/48 Sherman I'm doing for a D-Day group build. I've had some success putting a metal pin in the snapped off idler wheels. I'm a bit of a masochist but the gremlins in my head won't let it be. 😁 Another fine job. 👍

Hi Jeffery, the parched grass gives that faded OD look without having to mix your own paint. I think you'll love the results. I've also had problems with snapped idler wheels, but that was on 1/35 scale kits. This is the smallest armor kit I've ever built, but I had fun with it, and it was a quick build. Good luck on your Sherman project, take care and model on! Johnny

Hi Johnny, that 'little' Sherman turned out perfectly, you certainly have done grest justice to the vehicle andcall the crews that used them, I am back from my short break up to the Armour museum in Queensland, I took in excess of 500 photos, I met Jason who fronts the information videos on the collection and spentbtime in the rifle range as well, bedt regards from Melbourne Australia, Les

Hi Les, that's great! Sorry to hear that your vacation is over. One day I'm going on vacation and never coming back, lol. I didn't know the museum has a rifle range, that's very interesting. Meeting Jason must have been quite the experience too. Thanks so much for watching, have a great weekend! Johnny

Thank you, Steve, definitely an eye opener for someone like me that usually only builds 1/35th armor. I have a new appreciation for those that work in 1/72 vehicles! Thanks so much for giving it a look, take care and model on! Johnny

A lovely finish on the kit Johnny and a lot of fine detail considering the scale. It looks very good and I do agree that the tools would look better if they had been provided as individual items. The tracks leave a lot to be desired and being the rubber band type, are difficult to deal with in such a small scale. Well done, looking forward to the next one.

Hi Gerry, it's really too bad about the tools, but I guess they would have been very fragile because of the size. I agree with your assessment of the tracks, I did have that idler break off, lol. Thanks so much for watching my friend, take care and model on. Johnny

Hi Anthony, we 1/35 scale modelers often forget about the 1/72 kits. Usually, the only 1/72 scale kits that I build are the vessels. Thanks for giving it a look my friend, take care and model on! Johnny

Another top build Johnny. I’ll have to stay on the 1/35th scale it’s difficult to get them little bit to stick where they should and not on the end of the finger. What’s next in the build list my friend??

Hi Steve, I have to hand it to those who build these 1/72 scale vehicles, it's not as easy as I thought it would be, lol. Up next, I'm going to do an aircraft, F4U. Hope you enjoy it my friend. Take care and model on. Johnny

Great end result, Johnny! Both kits together really do look the part. But I do have to say that this scale put a tremendous strain on my eye(s) 🙂- I hope you go back to 1/35 for the next build? Btw, great idea with the coins - seeing the 1 Deutsche Mark put some joy in my heart 💓Ahh, good old days...

Hey Mike, I thought I would put a quarter with the Sherman to show how small it is, then I thought, why not dig into the stash of coins that I collected from my travels while in the Army. Good to know that there is someone out there that still recognize one of them! 😊Thanks for watching, take care and model on! Johnny

@@hillbillymodeling I also spotted 5 Frech Francs, 10 Österreichische Schillinge, 500 Italian Lire, 1 Deutscher Pfennig, one U.S. Quarter, and a U.S. Penny (I think). Did I win anything? 😆Wish you a sunny weekend, buddy 🌄Oh, almost forgot to ask. I recently told my aunt (77) about you and showed her one of your vids - the first thing she said was: that's a nice gentleman, does he have grandchildren? So, do you?
