Saraswati Mandir, located in Mana Village, Uttarakhand, holds great religious and historical significance. Mana is the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border, close to Badrinath, and is considered the gateway to heaven in Hindu mythology.
The Saraswati Mandir is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, wisdom, and arts. The temple is situated by the Saraswati River, which is believed to originate in this region, making it a revered spot for pilgrims. According to legends, this is where Vyasa, the sage who composed the Mahabharata, sought Saraswati's blessings before writing the epic. There is also a belief that the river Saraswati disappears into the ground here and resurfaces as part of the Ganga River.
The location offers beautiful views of the Himalayas and is an important pilgrimage stop for visitors on their way to Badrinath and the famous Vasudhara Falls nearby.
