Charlie was ridiculously happy when his brother let go of your finger so he could be pet.

Have you seen the life they're supposed to have in the wild? Looks amazing.

These birds were bred in captivity. They would not exist if they weren't destined to be pets. If you truly cared about wild macaws, you should be far more concerned with habitat loss.

@@Jayrah7 I'm concerned about people keeping birds from the Amazon Jungle as pets in their western apartments. I see so many people excuse captive birds by saying they'd die in the wild and were bred to be in a cage for decades. Do you realise how ludicrous that sounds? Is someone bred into slavery bound to spend their life as a slave as they've never been free? So dumb.

@@JOHNBOYC2 By your logic we should have no pets or domesticated animals because somewhere down the line they were wild.

@@EvilSmonker if they've the opportunity to be free without having their wings clipped etc then it's ok. The fact is these birds are designed only for a very specific part of the world and when they're where they're supposed to be they have possibly the best life experience of any us animals. Seeing one live life like a hamster or old Terrier is sad. You shouldn't have a 'pet' if you can't provide it with access to nature. They're not toys. And they're not ours.

@@JOHNBOYC2 There is so much ignorance in what you are saying. Following your logic, humans come from the wild, so why are you here on KZitem presumably using an electronic device in a human civilization? Why are you not concerned with apes being kept in western apartments? Lets say you were stranded in the wild. Do you think you would fair better than a native American or a human living off of the wild? I would wager you would not. You, like many others, would perish. There are thousands of reasons why you would. These animals have been granted a privileged life with food, water, shelter, and having fun. They are living their best lives, meanwhile you are here on the internet seething about them living happily. Now I ask you, if you have any semblance of intelligence, do *you* realize how ludicrous *you* sound?
