I should mention another game connected to this one, Toree 3D, it is a 3d fast paced platforming game. macbat is a character in it. They have a very similar style as well.

I think the reason why 3D games from that era were a bit creepy is because nobody really knew how to best make a 3D game back then. The low res textures, the low poly and sometimes disproportional models (first time I saw Bowser in Mario 64, I thought he looked more like a baby Bowser), the music sounding somewhere between digitized and fully orchestrated, the lighting and contrast being all out of whack, it all added up to usually being a very uncanny experience. As much as I hate to use cliched terminology if I can help it, games of that era were very liminal in their nature, as was the era itself, as the 90's was a transitional period between the Cold War era, and the Information Age. Great vid btw, I might check this game out! :)

I just installed this on my blue view 2.... Looks way better then on switch OLED before I gave that away!!!!! And I hope we can get a mobile exclusive I loved macbat and super kiwi 64!!!! This game shines more then resident evil 4 remake and a lotta these games even evil within two.....macbat and siren blood curse are two of the best graphical games and show HOW games should be made!!!! Not rushed and you guys do beat the Mario games!!!! Today lol even the Luigi's mansion 2 remaster which will be a cash grab!!!! Macbat and kiwi need to shine together great job to these devs!!!!!!! Sick of remasters and remakes we need fresh games¡!!!!!

I regret buying domiverse now and should have brought Macbat 64 for $1 edit turns out Macbat 64 is $2.20 and super kiwi 64 is $4.50
