I would love you to talk about storing stabilizer! We have so many kinds and we need ways to store them while still having easy access to them! 😊

I agree! And I might be ahead of the game for once, because I covered that topic in detail, along with a similar one on thread storage. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) I hope this is what you're looking for ... kzitem.info/news/bejne/rpd_tn6ZsoN7go4

I'd love videos about how to use different materials (towels/sweatshirts/ball caps/knits), how to do larger projects with a smaller hoop size (how to design/align them to stitch in multiple sections?), and what types of things we can do with embroidery machines beyond the "normal" stitched designs.
@BallyhooCreations

Great suggestions!!! I've had the different materials on my to-do list for a long time and haven't tackled that series yet. I'm no expert at multi-hooped designs but since I'm speaking to a quilt guild next year, I guess I need to get good at it. Stitching outside the "normal" is my happy place and I have an older video you may have missed kzitem.info/news/bejne/pa6LnX5_b6anrHo but my style is different now so maybe I'll make an updated version. Welcome back! I would love to learn about digitizing if you don’t mind sharing.
@BallyhooCreations

Hi @2nywa2 - I don't mind sharing about digitizing but I'm not an expert at traditional digitizing. My expertise is around in-the-hoop digitizing with minimal surface designs. Have you seen the KZitem channels for John Deere or Sue Brown at OML Embroidery? They go much deeper into traditional digitizing than I ever could.

I ‘m so happy you are back. I’ve looked at both the new Brother and Bernina machines at a dealers. For me they are not worth the hype. $25,000 is out my price range but as I looked at both machine there was a lot of stitches with a few innovation. The question my Husband asked was will you use all those stitches and is the innovation worth the price? For me as a thrifty sewer/embroider the answer was NO. I am a Brother/Babylock person, but I don’t want to break the bank. I actually have 3 Babylock machines; Ovation for sergering, Soprano for sewing, and Pathfinder for embroidery. The only change I would make to my trio is getting a 6 needle machine of which I am saving for now. I would love to see more in the hoop techniques. May your days be filled with Good Sewing!!

I'm so glad you shared that @monicajackson7266 because I'm also a person who believes in paying for quality, but I'm as frugal as they come! For me, the babylock 6 needle was worth every penny. (bought it used for $5k) But I'm not a "top of the line" person. The Viking Designer1 ruined it for me. It was top of the line when it came out and had so many engineering issues it was worse than the entry level Viking machine I traded in. Ah well. We all have our stitchy stories. In-the-hoop tips and tricks is in the video making queue!

Good suggestion on the fluffy towels @creativelady7 . A lot of people ask about knock-down stitches so I should probably cover that in a towel/blanket video. When you request suede fabrics - are you talking about real suede (which is tricky) or garmet suede, or the vinyl that everybody uses for embroidery these days?

When you said make puppet arms ITH I immediately wanted the know how! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talents!

Hi @tenapeters8107 ! Have you already watched the beginner series? (●'◡'●) kzitem.info/news/bejne/rI152atrenmilXo I know we had a comment conversation on the buyers video. I wanted to be sure you knew about that playlist where I tackle all the mistakes and confusion on the machine embroidery learning curve. Even seasoned veterans pick up a few new tips. I'll be going over highlights when I play with the new Poolin machine which you can use as a skills refresher.

Glad you’re back ❣️ I have not been real impressed with the new machines either, but curious to see what new stuff they will do. I would enjoy seeing videos on sewing room organization, that’s always a challenge for me 🫣

LOL on the organization. I've said I'll do a studio tour as soon as it's clean...that was 3 years ago. (◔◡◔) But it's still a goal. Let's keep watching those new machines and see if they surprise us. It seems like the features are more in the quilting area than machine embroidery.

Oh no! Just be patient and keep trying new things that you learn in my beginner videos. You will make mistakes, and you will get better. It's a learning curve. What machine did you get? I'm playing with a new machine this week and my first stitchout did NOT look good. It's kinda like learning to dance with a new partner. (●'◡'●)

The Brother SE2000. I've been trying everything the past two months. I feel like I'm taking a college course lol!! I've tried better thread, different needles, stabilizers, fabric, magnetic hoops, I find conflicting info, no magnetic spools, the bobbin L or K, different weights 40 or 60 for the top thread... 60-90 for the bobbin. I refuse to give up. I've spent too much money. There aren't alot of classes where I live. I went to a sew and vac shop and he acted like I was an idiot and he said my machine is fine. Well, sir, it is screwed up somehow and yes I'm an idiot. Lol!
@BallyhooCreations
Ай бұрын
@@sweetchickies7 That sounds terribly frustrating. Hopefully my beginner series of videos will help you figure out what's wrong. Sometimes it's something embarrassingly stupid like the bobbin is in backwards. (been there!) Practice with 40wt top thread and 60 wt bobbin, and some medium cut-away stabilizer with a woven cotton fabric. And use designs preloaded on your machine. That eliminates a lot of variables. I believe the SE2000 benefits greatly from a thread stand, otherwise you'll get more thread breaks and bird nesting. And as a last resort, I just starting offering video consults. If you're interested, you can book a video chat with me here: superpeer.com/ballyhoocreations/-/machine-embroidery-troubleshooting

Guess what!!! I was told today from the sew shop today to take the spool cap off totally and just slide in the thread spool. (I just ordered a thread stand yesterday) I thought how bizarre, but I was desperate! I also slowed down my SE2000 machine speed digitally to the lowest number for now (my machine shook bad at the higher speed) and I used a metallic embroidery needle for the 1st time tonight. I used a K bobbin prewound 60 wt for the standard bobbin case and Simthread 40 wt for the top thread and the tension at 3. I used thicker stabilizer for the bottom and a topper and IT WORKED!!!!! I feel like I passed my Mid Terms! I will definitely set up an appointment if things go downhill tomorrow! I’m excited to try your puppets!! ❤

@@sweetchickies7 Yay! I'm glad you got it working -that's awesome! Spool caps are not needed when the cones are standing upright, like on a thread stand and I think your thread stand will be very helpful (and it helps you manage colors when designs have lots of colors anyway) That Simthread is a little slippery. Slowing down the machine was a good idea. I have a video on how to quiet your machine that might help with the vibrating. That way you can speed it back up again. But I'm so happy you had success!
