Even though the original line up is cool and everything and their honourable to fill in untill the new guys arrive, me personally don't want to have Logan and Chris back in officially because obviously if Phil n Dave never left then we all wouldn't even be seeing these guys here what so ever so it feels kind of sloppy seconds to officialy invite these guys back in. To me Phil n Dave will always be the original because I first heard of Machine Head very late (I believe it was a year before The Blackening was released) so I always see Logan and Chris as formers even though they are the originals it's kind of weird but yeah even if they do end up rejoining then that's quite cool but would be really sick it Rob got two. New guys even though they got a lot to fill in for especially Phil but whatever route Rob takes then Im game.

yeah it makes sense if you started with MH late. I imagine it would be the same with an early ACDC fan who would only consider Bon Scott as the true singer. I always prefered Brian Johnson by far for example.

@@caseyplooy1696 Not saying I disagree on him struggling or anything (but it sounds kickass so who gives a fuck what it looks like), but what part of Burn My Eyes do you think McClain wrote exactly? Kontos and Mader are not officially joining the band. They're on tour to celebrate/make some cash on the Burn My Eyes anniversary. That means they're only playing their material from their album, Kontos isn't touching McClain's material. That is to be performed by the as of yet unannounced official drummer for the band.

I grew up not allowed to listen to music (Pentecostal Christian household ) so when I was 13 back in 1997 I started somewhat rebelling , my musical awakenings involve machinehead and Metallica, and many others. First time I heard machine head it was like a million volts going through my body I remember my friend putting them on really loud and just being still and amazed and shocked! that's how I started playing guitar. I used to listen to machinehead in secret , along with metallica, nirvana, alice in chains, etc etc. Forever a fan of machinehead! 🤘🎶🤘🎵🤘

@@Hellwyck I'm saying I respect the hell out of him for coming back, and nailing these absolutely brutal drum tracks. They are a lot for even a younger drummer to pull off. What I was referring to as "fairly basic" was the guitar riffs - on some of the songs on that album. That said, BME pioneered a sound, and laid a foundation that the subsequent albums have stood strong on. I have been with these guys since '95, and love all of their work. Seen them many times. I'm in Phoenix and caught the 1st BME show. Was beyond amazing.

That could be difficult. Kontos had been fired in '95 because of his lack of motivation for larger tours, and Logan because of his alcohol and drug abuse after ,,The More Things Change" (maybe resulting from the bigger successes and more intense tour-album-cycles, I don't know). Meanwhile, Machine Head are in another scale than 25 years ago. I mean, I really would appreciate it, when they returned to the band full-time, but how do you prevent that they quit again, with giant tours in the back, combined with the enormous expectations to release another killer album?
