Unbelievable that Apple left the System Settings in such a horrible state. Couldn’t they at least allowed it to be resized horizontally? Passwords should be turned into its own app, not a settings panel. None of the settings are in alphabetical order. They are just randomly listed in the sidebar. Why not group Appearance, Wallpaper, Screen Saver, Lock Screen and Desktop & Dock all under a main “Appearance” section? And the same with other things. Make a Network section, Peripherals, Users, etc. At least have some rhyme and reason to how things are placed in that list. It’s such an absolute mess.

The very best thing about Sonoma is how Airpods now instantly switch between iPhone and Mac. Before this, it would always seamlessly switch from the Mac to the iPhone, but trying to switch back would never work and you would need apps like AirBuddy to assist you in switching over to the Mac, even with the latest Airpods Pro with the H2 chip. I expected that when Apple transitioned to M1 and used the same chip architecture as the iPhone, that switch would be as seamless as between the iPhone and iPad, but that wasn't the case. Now it automatically switches instantly and I was able to uninstall AirBuddy as it's no longer needed. It seems you haven't mentioned this here but this is by far the biggest feature of Sonoma as it really limited the convenience of AirPods that the switch between Mac and iPhones was never seamless. This is a gamechanger for anyone who bought Airpods for the convenience of switching between Apple devices but was not getting that experience from Mac

Thanks for covering these. Most of these were addressed by Apple during their keynote. Could you create a new video, in fact a new series of videos for all operating systems, ONLY covering features that were not announced? It seems everyone and their dog produce videos about what Apple announced in their keynote. What we’d really like to see as Tech enthusiast is information that was not covered in the Keynote or address by every KZitemr and news outlet. Allegedly, there’s over 400 under the hood changes, we should know what they are. Example, in macOS 13, Apple remove the ability to drag the preview window from the center of the window when previewing a video file. Surely, surely some beta tester must’ve observed this during their alleged “beta testing“. This is bad UX and no one caught it.

Thanks for the quick walkthrough, my current Mac is approaching 10 years old and will only allow BIG Sur. Thus I am considering getting a new MacMini for my desktop, as I have become a daily Linux user on my new laptop. Thanks again and God bless.
