To honor the #4thofjuly of 2021, I went to Newtown Barge Park by the waterfront facing the East River and Midtown, Manhattan. This park is in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and I arrived at around 5:30 PM (17:30), where I was picnicking a little, and taking photos (that I posted on my social media platforms) to kill time because 9:25 PM (21:25) was when the show started. This show was TOTALLY WORTH IT and a BLAST, especially because there was practically no show at all in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but thanks to high vaccination rates, restrictions were loosened up enough to allow this showing to the public, and to various spots that would require reservations, mostly allowing vaccinated people to publicly watch it. I was originally planning to watch the fireworks at Gantry State Park in Long Island City, Queens, but I changed my mind about that spot due to overcrowding that arrived extremely early, and I walked over the Pulaski Bridge from Queens to Brooklyn to be lucky enough to come across open-enough space at Newtown Barge Park (as to mention I arrived early, and the park I was at eventually filled up later on). Other than some hassles getting to and from celebrating, I still highly enjoyed this experience. Happy 4th of July 2021 everyone! ;) #macysfireworks #newyorkcity
