Why did you use a motor plate ? I have had or worked on at least 5 V8 Monzas. You should support the rear of the engine with a midplate or risk cracking the trans bell housing. They came factory with a V8 engine and I never had header problems using the factory mounts. I was only disappointed because the header tubes were small, 1 5/8 diameter tubes. I put in 3 different sets of Hookers, they all had a loose tube that slip fit together on the drivers side and you have to pull the engine to install them. They are nose heavy, handle poorly and need to be "back halfed" to have a decent working drag race suspension. The brakes are barely adequate as well.

@@crazyoilfieldmechanic3195 thanks for the info. It's just a weekend cruiser. Not really much difference between solid mounts. I am going to put a brace to keep engine from shifting fore and aft. Not gonna use slicks or any other drag radial. It will be fine for me. Don't plan on doing any drag racing
