Like it or not, in a scene that is often damn-resitant to change and trying new shit.... its ballsy of Madball to do this. Love Madball, always have since "Set it Off" came out- I'll def check out this album.... if anything I owe 'em that for so many insanely-good releases.

To people saying "this is too Rancid", it's not. It's a perfect mix of Rancid and Madball. Open up your minds. It's ok to expect some consistency from a band you love. It's not ok to expect them to redo and regurgitate the exact same song/album over and over.
@Denka187
6 жыл бұрын
at last someone who get it . but its easy for folks to sit at home and expekt a band who played 20 + years should redo every song over and over - and the same people seem to have no clue where hardcore once came from or what its about .

agree 100 dude , tim was behind the wheels on this record and the whole record has a oi punk hardcore vibe to it . hardcore is about many things and one of em are punkrock music where it all started from . ofcourse we all want brutal madball songs but what i love about madball is that they hold the roots and try to bring forward all aspects of hardcore music and that includes punk and i think they do it great on this album , they had fun with this one

R. A. Fucking Christ, it is Madball! Ever listen to their covers on the worldwide tribute to the real oi! ablum? I've been into this shit for 20 years. From NY, and I've had a long journey as far as hardcore and punk and oi! is concerned. In my opinion, this song is simply following a very hallowed tradition as far as hardcore bands playing their punk roots. We are all the same. Warzone, Murphy's Law, Agnostic Front, Cro Mags, Judge, Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Sick of It All, Kill Your Idols... everyone respected oi! and punk as much as anything. That's why most of them covered oi! songs. It's been the same for years and years. Hopefully that will never change

I love all Madball works, I feel the feelings in every of their tracks, both old and new ones. I don't care with what the other says about this album. Collab with Tim? I appreciate the decision. He's the legend too, he's still sings about punk rock and revolution while the other punk legends begins to talk about love and desperate. I'm not saying that this is good or epic, this is like the "Born Strong" follow up. And it's just ok.
