This is an accurate video but at some point you said left eye and was pointing to Right eye! Anyways yours is accurate with loads of rubbish out there. Thanks!

If the images of the light and the red bar hit the retina in the same spot, as shown in the video, wouldn't the brain perceive them in the same spot? Is the image seen by the fovea not the red line?

Once the prism moves the red line to the fovea, yes you have foveal projection from each eye and the 2 images are seen to be in the same position in space. This is why the line is seen to bisect the light.

@@conniekoklanis I assumed that the fovea always sees the red line and that the line of sight from the fovea to the red line should be to the left of the light before the image is corrected. I don't understand the logic of the illustrations in the video. I see two lines hitting the retina in the same place on the right eye of the left set of eyes. Does the brain not perceive the location of images based on their place on the retina? So if two lines hit the retina at the same spot, shouldn't they be perceived on top of each other? Shouldn't the red light be perceived to the left of the light if the fovea is pointed in that direction? Thank you for helping me clarify.
