What a beautiful culture, very similar to my people (Garinugu) from Belize and Honduras. We make Casava the exact same way. We speak Carib too. Bless this sister

Aunty, soon Corona done, I'm coming to find you and purchase as much Cassareep as customs would let me bring back. They sellin pure buhn sugah here stateside, unless you have someone who wants to make the effort to get you real Cassareep. I felt an immense pride in seeing you make this video. ALSO, as someone who works for an American Native Indian organization, I was extra proud to see you keeping your indigenous culture alive through speech. I can't wait to get back to the homeland. Until then, Stay Safe (you and your entire Family), keep wukkin thah Cassareep. YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!

'get out there and work' 'if is cassava bread and this thing... eat, drink your water, praise God, and say thank you for providing this meal. I am so filled! Tomorrow God is going to give me meat and fish.' I came here to learn about this thing called 'cassareep' which is used in the Guyanese dish 'Pepper Pot.' But I was reminded of something much more valuable from this lovely lady. Thank you Aunty Carla... your words will stick with me for a long time.

This was so disappointing. It is miss-labeled, it should be called Aunty Carlas' life story. Guyanese people you need to up your game.

Aunty Carla I missed out on a lot. I saw a pot with some grey stuff and a pepper, then you spoke in another tongue and back to English. What I thought I would of see is you practically making the “ casreep”. I saw no cassava I didn’t see you boiling and squeezing the cassava and taking the cyanide out to dry the cassavas to make the casreep. So you totally loss me from beginning to end.
