Le Femme Nikita Madeline and Operations Season 5, episode 2 "A girl who wasn't there". Cast: Peta Wilson, Eugene Robert Glazer, Alberta Watson, Roy Dupuis
This show was underrated. One of the better espionage dramas and was good despite a small budget.

Madeline and Paul were so well casted I don’t think they will ever be able to cast those 2 rolls as well in any reboot.

You are entirely right. The 5th season was filmed only because of the onslaught of demand for the show to not end. One cool bit of info is the reason that Nikita's hair was short for season five. After season 4 wrapped Peta Wilson aka Nikita cut her hair off. almost to the moment she finished cutting she got a call that they were going back into production. When she told them what she had done the simply worked it into the show and was a great serendipity aka a happy accident.

This low-budget Canadian version of la femme Nikita was still much better that the american one showed these days.

the same with operations. in early days, he didnt give a crap about michael/nikita as long as he could control them (he even purposefully threw them together). it does fit his love of power to lust after a woman like maddie, and to feel threatened when he realized michael/nikita could do his job better than him. but the petty, whining break-up campaign was beneath him. hed been planning to give it all to michael anyway. hed just let them be together then force them to cool it until he said so.

I agree look at Haley Berry for example. She has had both long hair and short hair and all the photos with short hair she is mindboglingly breath taking. When she has long her she is just a pretty face in the crowd.

I agree. They rapidly decided to go into S5 after seeing the fans raging, so there was no way of getting her back. Thanks for uploading the clip, best scene ever.

They ruined this show when it became The Nikita and Michael show, I know Nikita was the central focus, and in the title, but Madeline and Paul were far more interesting. The show went into the crapper when they took that bizarre storyline that put Nikita in charge and Maddy killed herself.

disagree. i loved and respected the complex madeline and alberta watson's portrayal of the role. but her character fell out of step when it came to her and paul. she was the one with the purist view of "what was needed no matter how much you didnt like it." its what made her so wonderfully chillin. but when teamed with paul it became: "get them. break them up. its my job. mine!" it didnt fit *madeline.* shed have seen them as inevitable and (if they were really better) welcome.

Right, exactly. Madeline was ruthless, willing to do whatever was necessary without blinking, and deeply isolated. Madeline was always a parallel to Michael, with Operations as the parallel to Nikita. Both hiding their emotions, cold, calculating, ten steps ahead, and both deeply influenced by the person they loved. Operations made Madeline what she was, in some sense, whereas Nikita broke Michael from Section years before finally freeing him.

Well, holograms are a REAL thing in 2020. So the show was actually quite ahead of its time. But I know what you mean, the 4th season has a few truly terrible episodes, like the one with the boy who kill people with his mind.

Did you like Nikita and Mike? They were the same relationship wise as Op and Mad. only in that situation we got the early days. AS much as you may dislike it they were at their best together.
