First saw this film in ‘74 when it came out, half a century later it remains my favorite comedy. But I had more or less forgotten this hilarious vignette. Absolutely 💯 😂 almost there with Elizabeth’s “you men are all alike-seven or eight quick ones and then you’re out to boast and brag with the boys” after the monster ravages her.

There's just something so funny about the sight of Frankenstein's creation lying contentedly in bed, reading a copy of 'The Wall Street Journal' while wearing glasses, perhaps checking to see how the companies he has stock in have been doing lately!

Heh heh, imagine if that had been the ending to the original Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus novel, instead of killing people and having his creator chase him to the arctic the creature instead went to the Americas and became an investor, making a killing instead by successfully riding the stock market.

Still one of my all time favorite movies. They were perfectly cast. And if you notice there were three excellent female roles acted by truly talented actresses. Though I am biased because I think Madeline Kahn was sublime and played her part with panache. I wish Ms. Garr all the best and hope she is doing well as I understand she has MS. She entertained many in her many roles. A fan.
