Nice! The conditions you're shooting in will definitely make a difference. We were checking a ballistic calculator and i dont remember the exact number but wind could account for a drift from 0.1 to 0.3 MOA at 100 meters. It's even worse if its in gusts and changes direction 😅 Regarding the cold bore shot, it would definitely help if you fired a couple of rounds in dirt before doing the grouping. It depends on the length and type of barrel but what i found out on my WWSD with 16" pencil barrel is that i was getting tighter and more consistent groups with a very hot barrel. I suspect this is because if i start with a cold barrel and shoot 10 round groupings, the thin barrel heats up quickly and when it's heating up it also changes the POI a bit. But once it's heated toa certain point, it wont get much hotter while shooting semi-auto and it also doesnt cool down that quickly. So it seems that it's in a stable state and that's why it gives consistent results.

@@PolenarTactical The wind for sure might have caused some of the variance. I might try some other ammo just for fun to see if different loads group better. That makes sense about the pencil barrel. Once it heats up it shifts but only to a certain point. So it would be beneficial to shoot a few cold bore shots before trying to group.
