@@kidkique yeah of course, but that’s why I said “real friendship” rather than just “friendship”. Look, it’s just my opinion but back then your friends were almost more like family. The endless hours spent together playing football, drinking, whatever…. To me I don’t see that with friendship groups anymore. I have kids in their teens and 20’s and friendship now is mostly online, like Instagram, or long calls on WhatsApp, all a little fake and throw away in my opinion.

Old ARA skin from the 90s here - this is the sound that made me who I am. Well, this and what came before it. Seeing an old Fred Perry polo and the green bomber jackets takes me back. I'm not gonna do the "it was better back then" because I'm only 41, but the scene in my town in '99 was something I miss these days. Spending the day with my homies patroling for boneheads and the night drinking stolen beer or catching a ska show down the local dive. Sadly the boneheads are still around (some of them even wear the FP polo!!!) and this music is overdue for another revival. Good modern ska is out there if you know where to look, so drop it with this "music sucks these days" nonsense.
