Vídeo com fotos e imagens de Madonna no período em que fazia parte da banda Emmy. Com a primeira versão de Burning Up, gravada no período de 1980/1981 por eles.
For all you idiots saying not "PUNK", when do you think punk was invented? 1976 and Madonna was playing CBGB, Dancetiria, Max's Kansas City and Roseland by 1979..If anything she took the punk attitude and fused it with pop/dance and help create House Music...

She definitely not house music. Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Farley jack master Funk, Jerry Saunders, and Ron Hardy lots of DJs playing Philadelphia soul not madonna in black gay bars in New York City (Paradise Garage) and especially Chicago (the Warehouse and Music box) created House. Madonna is pop music darling and she introduced Vogue to white america but that also came out of black gay bars with House music.

Emmy and The Emmys made regular shows in nightclubs: Cartoon Alley, Underground, Max's Kansas City & US Blues (Long Island). Madonna had brown hair, all spiky, wore crucifixes & accessories. Stephan Bray said Madonna had followers: 5 or 6 girls who followed the band Emmy everywhere.

After the band Breakfast Club (she played drums & did some vocals), Madonna & Stephen Bray founded the band Emmy and The Emmy's or simply EMMY. Madonna (lead singer), Stephen Bray (drums), Gary Burke (bass), Brian Syms (lead guitar). At this time Madonna had already written about 12 or 14 songs. The songs appeared on bootleg "Emmy & The Emmy's Live: "First Time Out Of Manhattan": Love For Tender, No Time For Love, Ringing Bells, Drowning, Are You Ready For It, Best Girl, Hot House Flower, Simon Say, Nobody's Fool ,Love Express & Drowning studio version. Madonna in a Punk-Rock style.

I think that was the first girls gone wild era.

Around this time there were hundreds of new waveish bands hustling in NYC in the music scene that the first wave punk era bands helped to create. Madonna and Cyndi Lauper both came out of that scene. Before the punk/new wave scene emerged the music scene was centered in LA.
