That's like saying a peanut and a grape are the closest to a peanut butter sandwich when you have a peanut, a grape, a rock, a spoon, a hippo, and a grasshopper. The peanut and grape aren't on the same level as the pb and j sammich, but it's closer than squishing a grasshopper onto the sweaty back of a hippo and licking it. Gotta stop mixing beer and benadryl. But you get my point.

Well i just saw your comment. i respected MJ very much..and all the time i thought that he was the greates, but MJ fall asleep, he did not do anything bigger than THRILLER and then he got into so many troubles that afected his carreir and his talent, because his brain was not working well at the end, just look his face at the end. fame absorb him and he has not control of anything, he did not even knew how to handle his legal problems. Madonna is about to break all the records in the history of music. not as talented as MJ but look with talent or not in this moment she is stll here and no other woman has done what she did. that`s for me the equal of king,, this time the queen will be bigger man. even you like it or not,, and forget about PB&J.

Madonna not only called out Hollywood on their hypocrisy but her own as well, it takes alot to admit that you were wrong in passing unfair judgment. We normal humans cant even do that in our daily mundane lives so imagine what it takes for someone like Madonna to do that on live television in front of the Jackson family nonetheless. It is the silence of our friends that sting and hurt us more than the words of our enemies.

I am not a huge fan of Madonna (I don't know her enough), but she made one of the most relatable and honest speeches about Michael Jackson ever. A contrary to some so-called friends who are with you for the good times only, Madonna admitted that many people abandoned Michael Jackson when he needed them, including her ! Even though Madonna and Michael weren't always the best friends ever (nor the sworn enemy of each other), there's a kind of respect between them. I think Madonna truly misses Michael Jackson, as a rival and a human being.

I had always been a fan of Madonna's music but when I watched this live that night of the award show I gained an entirely new respect for her. I wish more people, (other celebrities and the media) had the courage and character to acknowledge they too had turned their backs on him. This speech was so needed! I remember the spin some in the media tried to place on this speech by saying it was all about "her" and she was so "self-absorbed". That was their way of negating the truth she spoke. What she was doing was showing the parallels between she and Michael, which doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. I hope the majority of the viewing audience understood her message and hopefully learned from it.

Prince was trying to bring awareness and espousing slavery and the lack of ownership of a artist master tapes from Warner Brothers Records almost a decade before MJ began to expose Sony on the very same grievance. It's only because Prince changed his style of music that you don't see the scope of his popularity anymore. I'm pretty sure that he prefers a smaller fan base with freedom of creativity to being made a slave to the rhythm. Prince in many respects a musical genius in his own right.

This is the best tribute ever because she wasn't a hypocrite. She said "I had abandoned him." Her words sounded gentle, yet realistic. And of course, since she is the queen, it makes sense her speaking about the king's death.

It’s a shame because I actually think he did respect her and liked her a great deal in the beginning. He probably felt that she had betrayed his trust by ridiculing him in the media when things didn’t go the way she wanted it to. In the rabbi tapes, he sounded more disappointed than anything to be honest. Maybe a bit bitter too.

It shouldn't really take a speech to make you like Madonna, I'm seeing a lot of these ' I like madonna after this ' and I'm sat here thinking Why? She's always been so unique and one step ahead of everyone else, Her music was great and she always stood up for what she believed in that alone makes her a great person, Just saying

She hit the nail on the head with 'when you don't have something you become obsessed by it' he became obsessed with having a childhood... psychiatrists even said that he was stuck in the mind of a 10 year old she also was on point about the witch hunt that plagued his life for 20 years.

I never liked Madonna but man this was the greatest speech about Michael Jackson I have ever heard. And so true. I especially liked the fact that she had the courage to admit that she was among those who crucified and judged Michael through the years and did not treat him like a human being. This speech should have been on every major news television show. Oh I forgot it was the media that helped kill Michael Jackson.

I have been dancing to his music since I was 4 with Thriller. 34 years ago that was, and I still dance to his music (though age is sneeking into my knees a bit) But when I am working at work, or on my game at home....when I need some inspiration, I bring out the Jackson. (Love Janet more though lol) It amazes me some that Michael still pulls in new fans every single year. I am grateful I was able to grow up in the right generation, and see it all. I think on the bad speaking in the early 90's when they dated, that was almost 25 years ago. People change. I think she has grief for Michael, and that is why she came to these pointed statements. I think also she brought to everyones face that they HAD abandoned him. That she HAD abandoned him. It can be a very devistating feeling that you feel you turned away from someone, and now they are gone. Did you have something to do with that by turning my back on him. At least that is how I feel this was meant.

While she called out other celebrities and herself, it has to be pointed out that Madonna always defended him when everyone hated on him. She told him to change styles once, but aside from that, always has stood up for him when very few other people did.

I gained some respect for her when I watched this, despite what I've heard about her. she had the courage to admit she abandoned him and I applaud her for that, because most celebrities wouldn't admit something like that. and yes, she did abandon him. but she's right, long live the king.

Kent Olaf Steinhaug Hey idiot. MADONNA IS AT 370 million,Mariah is about 320 million... MADONNA IS THE QUEEN OF POP FOR THAT REASON AND THEN SOME. AND SHE DIDN'T HAVE HER PRESIDENT OF THE RECORD COMPANY HUSBAND BUYING HER CDS BACK IN THE DAY LIKE MS CAREY DID. GET IT NOW?! SHE DOES NOT HAVE Madonnas SOCIAL significance. SHE IS JUST A SINGER. AND WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS SUCH. Madonna WILL GO DOWN AS AN ICON. ALA MICHAEL, Prince... ETC
