As a white, Irish-American kid growing up in Brooklyn, I would trek over to Church Avenue and Utica Avenue, in the '70's, and buy lots of 12" singles from some of the record stores at that crossroads. The store owners would play various singles/lp's for me and I would pick out the gems I liked. This classic stood out to me as something that was not your average Reggae tune. Real Roots, Mon! I am visiting back to this track because of the loss of the legend Robbie "Basspeare" Shakespeare. Many of those classic 70's Reggae tracks are littered with Sir Basspeare and Sly Dunbar. What superb music memories they were, Mon. I still cherish my Reggae 12" and lp's collection. Cool Runnings to ALL lovers of this fantastic music!

Wow that's so cool man that u still have those records. Good choice of song too, and this backing riddim is used a lot by other artists too as heard here with general echo in Bathroom Sex song.

@@silajeep1 Hi silajeep1 - I am currently going through a lot of my Gregory Isaac's 12" collection. What a superb vocalist he was. My ALL-TIME favorite group is Culture, Joseph Hill voice is just perfect. Two Sevens Clash is a true Masterpiece. All the best to you, PEACE!

Vauxhall product. I sued to see him coming from school and head to Bionic Lawn '78-'79. He was initially shy about singing on the set. Always love his sining should have been a big reggae star. If it were now I would have done it for him. Original dancehall singer and DJ that changed reggae they should be recognized for their contributions. Everyone from Stereophonic.

@@jammyjordon5544 which Madoo are you talking about? because there're two brothers in the music business Osbert Madoo and UU Madoo that I know of from back in the days And it was UU Madoo who told the world that is brother Osbert Madoo had died in October 2015 in the United States and this was all over the media I wasn't the one who said it so before you rule that out that Madoo is not dead you need to state which Madoo because there's Osbert and UU Madoo.
